why are they not running the ball?
Because we may actually get yards and some first downs. We had some productive runs. Bubba did the same thing with Santiago and Moose. When they were getting big yards, he would then go 3 straight incomplete or negative pass plays.

On our punts, why do we have 8 guys standing around the guy calling fair catch and zero down near the goal line incase they run the distraction play that they have on every punt so far? If he muffs it we don't need 8 guys covering him, if he catches it, well he can't run so somebody can release further back.

That chop block call was terrible. Was never engaged high. The 2nd UND OL was past the DL already but was also taken out by the tackle who went low.

would maag have had the first down?
Ball was short and wide, wasn't really close. He had a guy draped all over him and may have ran short of the sticks as well.

Which given his history of kicking.. a lot of blame goes to the coaches.. should have gone for it. Poor coaching.
Just the difference in the game that going for it can make. That distance the chance of block goes up quite a bit. But if you convert the 4th you can continue to run the clock.
Alot of holds got away on that NAU drive, but that was also way too easy for their passing game.

The one potential replay clip that potential may show out of bounds the UNA defender blocked the view from behind. From the front it is at an angle and you cannot determine if it touched the line or not unless they have the technology that the NCAA had in Fargo for the offsides a few years back this has to stand.

How do we not try to run here where we had a couple of big breaks? Within the 10, let ride Hoosman. We don't seem to convert alot of these passes. In the deep red zone.

Good thing no one cares about that Nebraska loss at playoff selection time if we have more than 8 wins!
a 6 win UNI team will get in over us. I kid...I hope that atleast its a joke.

I certainly think more of them after beating Northwestern, than I did losing 2 FCS games to start the season. Not sure how good Northwestern is. What happens next week in Carbondale will likely be predicated on what happens today in Flagstaff. Go Hawks!
It's also somewhat interesting being in the 3rd (4th for some) week. What came together for SIU, were their previous FCS opponents just better than Northwestern as well? Or has SIU just played much better? Beat SIU next week, and no one knows what the heck to think about the 4 teams. Just wished we played better against Nebraska in the final score category. Now 21 pt loss looks miserable.

Nebraska is a bad football team.
They looked really good the first few series on both sides of the ball, and now looks like SD Mines playing FCS. Their deep secondary has been very ugly. Also sounds like Georgia Southern packed on the pass yards last week. So if we would've had any deep threat, we could've attacked their weakness.

I don’t recall Mercer but he was a stud.
Deions Int still creates happy chills.
Deion had a couple of huge INTs that year. The one against USD was a game changer. We had some studs that year with Santiago, Brady O, and Harris alone. At times I wondered what it would be like if we could've ran Harris at WR and burned some defenders.

run contain has been a bit of a problem.. I can think of 2 or 3 long TD runs already.
There are 3 long run plays atleast 2 are TDs that I remember. The 2 against Nebraska we had RB dead in his lane in the backfield, he made a complete cutback away from designed play direction and run right by defenders who thought they were behind the play and didn't seem to remain ready or were surprised he cut back. They need to remember that the play isn't over until the whistle and be ready for a cutback or reverse.

This. Whatever happened to will call? Can we order tickets over the phone and pick them up at the game without paying the ticket master fees?
I believe you can only avoid by buying at box office of the Ralph during the week or Alerus on game day (unless Alerus box office is open more now).
I believe phone orders must go through ticketmaster where you get fresh.
Omaha's online ticketing system I believes run on ticketmaster similar to the student tickets at UND where it feels like a separate system built for them and doesn't charge added fees. I was surprised when I bought UND tickets at Omaha for like $15 face value and no fees

The hard part too is it is a 21 PT lose. Maybe only 14 if we punt on 4th and long but I think I rather see us take the last chance we may have to do something. We failed to convert. Nebraska was fine just running clock but wasn't much field to use to run the clock with the field position.

Iowa's offense is a joke.
Watched both games today and Nebraska last week. Nebraska offense looked heck of alot better. Iowa has the much better Defense it appears. Small sample size. But SDSU wasn't doing anything impressive either.

Kinda glad Frost wanted to rotate 5 RBs instead of ride the horse getting all the yardage.

USD losing 20-0 to K State

Just seemed like they got deflated after the 3rd and 15 which was a long ball that went uncontested. The 1st drive after being down 24-17 had some chances. Thought N defenders got there early but wasn't called. Still had a chance but just lost any steam

Thats a ball that should be picked off not a TD. Threw behind the receiver, closer to where the DB was. But our coverage are always way behind and can't ever find the ball.
