  1. With the sale of the Utah Grizzlies and the new owners wanting to move them to Trenton, NJ. The Maverik Center is getting an update and will be empty after next year. Not a bad arena for the schools in Salt Lake City Metro with Utah being the closest to West Valley City. If the light rail went to Provo or Ogden that could be a way to get students from UVU, BYU, and Weber State there. It will be interesting to see what will happen to the Maverik Center in the next few years
  2. It's Wake Forest home arena. They have had NC State, North Carolina, and High Point home games there. I'm positive another school in the area plays there also.
  3. Hasn't had hockey since the 50's and if I remember this place had a bunch of issues. This plan has been in the works since 2012. If all the work that would have to go into it and how long it has taken them to do this soundstage, renovating KFC Yum! Center for hockey could be cheaper especially if someone is trying to get the NHL there (can make ice there but obstructed view in one end). There is also the 6,600 seat Broadbent Arena that had hockey in 1998. Plus, its right next to University of Louisville.
  4. Goalies can't do captain things, so it's basically ceremoniously worn.
  5. The schedule and teams, I always thought there were 8 to 12 teams before.
  6. Watch it be a NIL thing. Notre Dame coach has something similar to his position
  7. Of all places to say that you are going there to not be distracted ASU isn't one of them. I also forgot he was going there
  8. Omaha going with a goalie co-captain
  9. BGSU had it for about 2 months #RIPBGSU2025recrutingclass
  10. With how Bob has used/developed goalies Casey could be in the transfer portal after a year.
  11. Send the banner to Michigan "best recruiting class 2025"
  12. Gophers get a WHL player in Casey
  13. I'm sure this will be on their podcast Sunday or Monday
  14. He knows the mouse trick
  15. New timeline set for $515M downtown Kalamazoo arena - mlive.com Saw that some of their fans talking about how they should add women's hockey.
  16. Interesting interview. Rumors of NIL offered at ACHA schools On a side note: I'm surprised they didn't build a hockey arena at Shilo Christian.
  17. At about 18:45 to 28:10 they talk about the regionals. Mike makes points I agree with the 2 pm start time and ESPN going to 8 different venues. ESPN barely have 2 good college hockey broadcast crews and God forbid they have Omaha's TV/radio guys calling the game on TV because ESPN doesn't have enough TV guys (only using Omaha as an example since they are not like North Dakota or Denver who have TV crews).
  18. Usually, I like the AFA jerseys, but these are not their best
  19. Bryn, I'd assume is there watching Maddox Schultz
  20. Iceplex making progress at Mosaic Quarter Farther along.
  21. No one that is a BC or BU fan cares unless they are playing each other, or the games are at the garden. BC and BU don't fill their arenas for Hockey East playoff games. Every year Bucci, Grinnell, and others show the line for the BU and BC game the only time there is ever a line for those two schools as a reason to have it on campus. The East and Northeast regionals shouldn't be empty with most of Hockey East 3 hours from those locations. Going back to when the current format was implemented BU has hosted 3 or 4 regionals and BC has hosted none. Have the top 4 host and the moment all the regionals are in the East again everyone including UND fans will bitch about it again. If you want to host at your arena then BID plain and simple. you have schools like Michigan that don't have the lockers to host, or they don't want to make the guaranteed money commitment to the NCAA. There should be a rule that says a team can't host unless you have made the NCAAs in the last 5 years (that means AHA should never host, sorry not sorry). I've heard conferences should host over schools so that a 4 seed can't play at the regional they would host (i.e. Providence a few years ago). UND doesn't whine about having to play against a lower seeded host, but it's a big deal when Denver has to. I want to say it was an interview with Muckalt who said in 1998 that "UND was the better team we just happen to play better in that game" when Michigan last hosted at Yost. When it comes to growing the game, only UND has done remotely anything to do that with the "destination games." Growing the game does come with the double edge sword of a regional in Athens GA., Austin TX., or Palm Springs CA., this would be good to grow the game but could have no one show up.
