https://www.reddit.com/r/collegehockey/s/bsCBfd21ZA Not surprised this came up. With most of the post I felt I was being gaslighted on what actually happened.

2025-26 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

I'm surprised someone hasn't tried to sue the NCAA about it with their track record of losing in court. -

Florida was getting out drawn by North Dakota, wanted a new arena closer to downtown Miami, and was hot garbage for years since the 96 Stanley Cup Finals. In the last 4 years with good ownership, sells out their arena, and won back-to-back Cups.

Last 6 had Tampa or Florida

Skinner should have been pulled after the third goal. Skinner isn't a starter but the last 2 goalies before the Florida repeat were mid goalies that won the Cup (Hill and Kuemper). Reinhart with 4 goals

First timers getting the Cup first, best way to do it after back-to-back Cups. Classy move Florida

Starts at 9:30 The move has been in the works for a while (State of College Hockey at the Frozen Four is the first time it was hinted). In 2017, College Hockey Inc. wanted Saint Louis (SLU) to do a feasibility study they said no. Lindenwood had a feasibility study done and the Maryville President said "if Lindenwood is doing one we want to do one." In 2018 the feasibility study was done and maybe build a rink. Talks about what goes into the feasibility study, very Indepth. Capacity 2000 is the biggest hurdle, when they have 3000 undergrad students, they feel that will work. Not increasing capacity. New President at Maryville and to get him up to speed in the next couple weeks on what NCAA D1 hockey will look like. Will play NCAA games this year, Alaska and a trip to the east coast hinted. Talked about the rink expansion. He did say something that made it sound like other teams are looking to make the jump from ACHA to NCAA. Going to Simone Fraser for games. Next 4 months to have clarity on moving to NCAA D1. Mentions Illinois was very close to starting a hockey team. Note: There are a couple annoying ads*
