  1. Not going to pretend there aren't a hundred reasons why UND is a better job than Miami, but as far as I can tell Hackstol and Rico were making basically the exact same salary last year (300k + incentives) just don't see him leaving his alma mater and everything he's built for another college program and the same $$$.
  2. Sports marketing employees trying to justify their existence. We have a new AD who has been cutting jobs in an attempt to get the department out of the red. Wouldn't read much more into it than that. Super dumb.
  3. The players will, but that's pretty standard regardless of opponent. Call it the enduring legacy of Ryan Jones.
  4. Not quite that good lol. Czarnik and Barber are about as dynamic of a combo as you'll get in college, but Max Cook is a role player (albeit a much improved one), just out there to add a little size and chip in when possible.
  5. So who all is making the trip down to Oxford this weekend?
  6. Nope Wiggle-room doesn't even being to describe it
  7. We switched to Neulion last year and it was a disaster. Yes it had much better quality than America One or even CBS Sports online package, but that was when the feed decided to work, which was about 60% of the time at best. It's still nice to see that 6/8 are on the same platform. Last year Miami subscribers were able to watch the Western stream free of charge for both road games, it would be great to see that become the norm in the NCHC.
  8. Oh noes, I've been discovered! OSU attendance will absolutely increase quite a bit this year along with the B1G, but like it's been noted, hockey is 4th/5th/6th fiddle in Columbus. Hockey games are something to take the kids to because tickets are $5, concessions are reasonable, and basketball games are sold out. The crowd starts filtering out after the 2nd period and with the exception of Michigan (they'd get rowdy to watch OSU play Michigan in pogs) and Miami (nearby game for a large number of our grads) the place is utterly dead.
  9. Yes, it is. OSU has 56k students and over 1 million people in the Columbus area. Miami has under 15k students and around 5k Oxford residents. Are we really sure Miami is the best benchmark here? But to make it more embarrassing, half the people in those pictures are Miami fans.
  10. Glad you guys were able to get seats, see y'all in Oxford (and Grand Forks)
  11. If you jump on at right when they go on sale (10 am I believe) you should be able to get something. Standing room is not a bad option if that's all that's available, in some cases it might be better then the reserved seats that do end up going on sale. Get there 45 minutes early to stake out a nice spot and you will have a great view. Good luck!
