We had Gabe’s in the bumper spot instead of his usual spot

Bubs should go back to splitting gaber and Blake up. They both scored from the spot a bunch. Gaber has been invisible other than drawing that penalty

The problem is that when they've played like this, it's seems to last all game.
With just a couple little spurts here and there.

Crossing my fingers…tough because they have the pieces to make a run. But a team can’t be this inconsistent during the playoffs. Time to lock in and go on a run.

Something tells me Big Ten is his destination...

Definitely possible…but I also know things change. He’s from Wisco originally so it makes sense he was wearing that gear as a youngster. That tweet was 3 years old.

    The last four weeks:

    Swept at CC.

    Sweep of bad UMD.

Sweep at home over WMU, but needed to hot goalie them one night.

    Swept at Omaha.

Definitely iffy.  But they have an offensive punch and a goalie who can steal one, so they can beat anyone.

Big time…I just read this on X, boys are 8-9 against ncaa tourney teams, 17-1-2 against everyone else.

I can't believe that UNO only got 15 sog in 70min of hockey.

How in the hell did we get swept by UNO last weekend? Fun beat down last bunt, I’m still a bit worried though come tourney time. We’ve been iffy since the Xmas break

Jaksen was sophomore age as a freshman (aka couldn't play bantams). Jace started the year playing Bantam AA before HS.

Yep I remember his birthdate looking odd. Same with the Moorhead (I.e Fargo ) kid this year. Nothing to take away from their talent. They are/were very old freshman who couldn’t even play bantams by rule.

Dang, yeah, I remember us talking about him last year in this thread.
Thought that one was almost a lock.

    Yes.

He may not have been offered. Clearly the O is there. But a 5’6” dman? You have to be beyond special to have a role at that size.

My assumption is he wanted to play in college next year and that UND wanted him to play another year in the USHL.

This is the most plausible answer. TBH, not sure he gets in a game next season and moving would have most likely been tough for him. BSU is a great landing spot for him. Guessing this was all worked out behind the scenes.

Zellers going to be a true freshman when he eventually arrives?

Hopefully Hobie sticks around. Hellsten had a decent year with New Hampshire.

He’s a senior now and the plan is for him to play a full yr of juniors. So no, he won’t be a true frosh. He should go late second to somewhere in the 4th. Taking the slower route which is great tbh.

The legend himself speaks well of UND recruits!

Schultz is gone. I would assume Simpson is too but I recently heard there was some sort of dust up with TC. I believe he’s back now so maybe they worked it all out.

    This.

But for all the ups and downs Jost has had himself about 450 games on the show and made some nice coin so maybe not the example we think, and I don't think Blake sees himself Jostlike.... Im thinking he sees himself Oshielike and that seems to be an example that worked out and can for Blake as well.

Blake will play in the NHL for a long time. He needs to play one more year though. Def could play next year..I think time should be spent getting more consistent on the D side. But his O game is there right now.

Probably a long shot he goes the college route and not go to Michigan if he does, but Berry should work some Alberta connections to at least get him to visit when eligible.

I’m sure we’re in on him. Almost positive actually. But…as you noted, he’s a special one that may just play in the Dub. If heard he may play for Brooks or Okatoks in the BC next year to keep his options open.
