  1. Yes, if they so choose. We won't really know that until the end of 22-23.
  2. Unrelated to this year, but the Summit League will include all 10 teams next year for the Conference Tournament. Going to a Friday-Tuesday Format.
  3. It just sucks that he had to leave due to a technicality.
  4. I thought about that idea over the weekend. It is certainly possible that this is on the table. However, UND has to play at least one of the games that have been postponed due to COVID. If they don't, he would be under the 30% needed to get it. A COVID year and a medical redshirt? I wouldn't be against it. I though Nero was starting to put all together before he got hurt.
  5. Other question we need to ask is this Nero going to be coming back or is he done for the year?
  6. Honestly, for the first time in a long time, there is some serious positive momentum with the women's program.
  7. This is probably the best stretch of basketball Leet has played in her career. St. Thomas had no answer for her inside and if she start to consistently hit those shots from outside (and from 15-17 feet), forget it.
  8. The one thing I like about our starters: Manson and Orth struggled today, but Leet goes and drops 22 to help them out. There has been times where if one starter struggles, the others are there to pick up the slack. A healthy Kacie has been a breath of fresh air for UND. The only complaint right now is the turnovers. Try to cut them down to around 3 a game. There will be a ceiling to this team due to the depth issue (particular from the scoring side of things). Daninger is a solid reserve that can do a bit of everything. Take today: She didn't score, but had 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 blocks. That is very invaluable to have. She is the best scoring option off of the bench. It might be another year before a nice bench gets developed. A healthy Gordon, Anderson, and the incoming freshman class should help with that. Big weekend coming up with Oral Roberts and Kansas City at home. Get them both and you are 6-3 in conference play. However, they will be tough matchups.
  9. Isn't there a big NCAA meeting next week that is going to discuss FBS/FCS/D2/D3?
  10. I'm more impressed with this weekend than last weekend. It wasn't like they barely won these games. For 7 out of the 8 quarters this weekend, UND was the superior team.
  11. 53-37 UND at the end of 3 One more to go for the sweep
  12. Just give Leet and Kacie the ball and get out their ways. UST can't stop them
  13. 41-27 UND at the half. Leet and Borowicz leading the charge with 14 and 13 points each. They look really good in this first half. One more half like that to complete the sweep.
  14. 19-12 UND after 1 Excellent shooting quarter from distance for UND
  15. This I would agree. They have really rounded into form. I like their chances in the rematch. I'm a little slow with the comprehension today. Haha
  16. 12-7 UND at the first quarter media. Leet is showing off her shooting from distance.
  17. I would say that Western Illinois win on Thursday was solid. However, I don't think we have had a win that has been head-turning... yet
  18. I'm not ready to throw smack against a coach that we have not beaten since he has taken over the NDSU program. We should have beaten NDSU at home. They MUST beat them in Fargo this year. It is time to end that losing streak and swing the rivalry back in the correct direction.
  19. I still wish they pulled out that NDSU game at home. That would have been a nice shot in the arm. With that said, there appears to be progress being made. Kacie is playing at a first team All-Summit level. Hope they can keep it up and continue to make good progress. Winning records in overall and conference is definitely attainable this year, especially with some good results on Saturday and next weekend at home against Kansas City and ORU.
  20. We all know what Bruns has done, but now has to learn that being the marked man in college is much different than in HS and adjust. However, that will open opportunities for others to step up and develop into secondary options, which in turn will take some of the pressure off of Bruns. The frustrating thing is in the past two games, we have started to see flashes of what this team needs to do to win games this year. Norman has started to flash, T has shown flashes, Mathews has shown flashes on the defensive side, Grant has some flickers of success. The problem is that it hasn't been consistent and there are too many breakdowns. The turnovers were the big thing last night but overshadowed was that UND, in several defensive possession, got the necessary stop, but then gave up an offensive rebound. On the other side, they need to cash in more on these 2nd chances. They are getting open look and players need to cash it. Nice to see Bentiu have a nice game. For his sake, I hope he can finish the rest of the conference season strong.
  21. Now the trip to St. Paul, can this team get back to 4-3 in conference play?
  22. Free throw shooting wasn't a help either. There was defensive growth, but man that offense can get rough in a hurry. Good night from Norman. Need more of that from him to take the heat off of Bruns.
  23. you can't make this up they turned the ball over on the inbound........... WHY!
