The Packers had a scout at practice today.

It's not what the recruit sees as much as it is a coach able to explain why a tight knit family starts with a tight knit locker room both literally and figuratively. And compared to the old lockers the last thing I'm worried about now is the impression the locker room makes on recruits. The new lockers are innumerably better than the old. What a recruit would notice is that our locker room is way nicer than ndsu's. Check out Jake Howrschners twitter for an example of tight knit.
-
I actually have to disagree with you on that. Having experienced that locker room for myself I know how close everyone is to each other. It actually makes the team a closer knit family. Instead of having it spread way out like the alerus you're right next to your brothers. I don't like when locker rooms are too big it takes away from the togetherness.

Not after how that worked out with Townsend who was a QB in high school.

One thing I noticed from this is how built Sharp is. His neck and traps are big time for a true fr. He could easily get up to 210 by his rSO year.

If you go to the actual youtube page it describes it in more detail. "Opening Drive, a behind-the-scenes look at the North Dakota football team, is back for its second season. The web show will preview the 2013 season for the University of North Dakota with weekly episodes leading up to the kickoff on Thursday, Aug. 29. Episodes will continue monthly through the season. Opening Drive returns as newcomers come to campus, move into residence halls and get ready for their first collegiate practice. Meanwhile the returning members of the team look to build off a first season in the Big Sky Conference. The next episode of Opening Drive will debut on Aug. 15 at 9 p.m. on UNDsports.com and Youtube.com/undathletics. Opening Drive is presented by Scheels. Use the hash tags #NDproud and #OpeningDrive to talk about the series on social media. Follow UND football with #BrickByBrick."

They are doing it for the whole season this year

How bout watch this instead of pissing in the wind?

I know Thomas wasn't our ad then. I'm just saying it wasn't his fault back then. It was in the 2000s though
-
Was he our AD in 1978?

Probably not since GF has been a hockey town since the 50s. But football would be alot closer at the very least. Maybe if football went on some ridiculous run like ndsu did in the 80s but outside of that hockey is pretty entrenched in the blood of GF.
-
I wish more B1G schools would add hockey along with Pac 12 and maybe some more MAC and east coast D1 schools. That would be good for college hockey to have more 'name' schools that could draw more people into college hockey.

Lack of vision is what I think it was. It took a visionary at NDSU who didn't care if they couldn't afford it for everything to get moving. Had there been someone with vision in charge back in the 70's all 4 would have been D1 for a long time and perhaps even be FBS now. Football would definitely be a bigger deal in Grand Forks had UND been FCS from the start...... at least we didn't stay D2.... I'm not sure I could handle that.
-
All 4 of the Dakota schools should have been FCS from its inception. Huge mistake by all 4 not to.
-
21 of 59 D1 hockey programs are schools that play either D2 or D3 sports. Nothing says the highest level of competition like Alabama Huntsville, Colorado College, Alaska Fairbanks, Lake Superior State, Michigan Tech, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and Union. Just sayin. And some of these random non D1 schools have won national championships.

He's a bit of a bowling ball of butcher knives.

The ratings had dipped in a huge way and that is why espn didn't keep their rights to broadcast hockey. The popularity has gotten alot stronger, especially in non traditional markets, but my original point still stands that espn doesn't have a vendetta against hockey. Had the ratings always been strong they would've been all over hockey. Also Miami has the worst fans in the history of things to cheer for. And NBA basketball pretty much sucks.
-
The series starts back up today. Might as well have a thread to post episodes in and make it easy for anyone to watch.
-
They showed plenty of hockey in the 90's when the sport was popular.
-
Once again if the ratings were their they'd be all over it.
-
Papalinos beef tostada pizza is fantastic.
-
Because the ratings aren't good. If they were those money grubbing whores at ESPN would be all over hockey.

I'm not talking about NDSU. I'm talking FCS football and D1 hockey.
