  1. There are always a couple players that leave for whatever reason, or retire due to injuries. Last year was the most we'll likely see but only two, (Golladay and Brown) were major losses. Long term it's better for the program because you know the entire roster is committed. Those players will in turn be better at selling recruits that belong. Those that don't will probably be weeded out better than before. As for JUCOs that all depends on what the coaches think they have left. If they need gap filling experience theyll look for drop downs and then Jucos.
  2. Next man up. It hurt worse when we lost Golladay, we all lived, so will the team.
  3. I think Brown is injured
  4. Players quit every year from every program for various reasons. In a way this rough patch after the midpoint of the season is filtering out guys that aren't mentally tough enough and lack perspective. I can understand why Young, if that's who it is, would leave. Who knows why Dev would, maybe his hopes and dreams of college ball came crashing down as it was revealed to be a meat grinder. Who knows. All we can say is next man up. One WR I'm not worried about is Seibel.
  5. Switching and quitting are different things. Plus a true FR did not stick it out after Mussman. Facts.
  6. The door is always open. Talent or not, you can always leave if you feel so inclined.
  7. Not stopping them on 3rd and 4th down.
  8. In his weekly email Bubba didn't talk about injuries or starting a true FR qb. They aren't excuses to him, they shouldn't be to us either.
  9. You need to look at the type of injuries. Torn ligaments are not the fault of the S/C staff.
  10. Recently they've been a better road team than home team. Probably due to the fanfair and fighting complacency.
  11. He also was dumped by Tony's Aunt. That's why he drinks so much Dos Equis.
  12. Guys like Rattelle who are all in seem to have decent results. It'll take a couple years to have a full team of guys like him.
  13. I firmly believe that had mollberg not been injured against PSU and ultimately SUU that we'd be singing a different tune about the QBs and have a different record.
  14. Our lack of depth on offense is showing as is our youth on both sides of the ball.
  15. I'd like to see a battle royale of Blais Tonys Aunt and Ditka.
  16. I'm back to having no expectations, moreso for the offense, but still, I just want to see improvement.
  17. Only if he's the best option.
  18. I didn't think Studsrud was all that bad considering he had 4 practices under his belt and was asked to throw almost exclusively on third and long. I like the way he moves and how he throws the ball. He'll be better next game and every other game he plays. He showed his potential yeaterday, the results weren't great but honestly how could they be. And yes, Hanson would probably have been worse, that's why they played Studsrud.
  19. But a lot fewer than last year.
  20. Play your best players. The seniors deserve it. The fans deserve it. The program deserves it.
  21. Downtown Madison is a great place.
  22. Our strength and conditioning staff is very good. Baukol and Schwenzfeier are top notch. The problem in the Mussman era was players weren't giving their all which kept them from getting the results they could have. I've heard that the last two classes have great work ethics unlike the previous ones which only had a few guys committed to strength and conditioning. Part of the reason NDSU is having such success is because their players are all in for strength and conditioning which translates directly onto the field.
  23. Sorry, gotta wait til gameday to shut this baby down
