  1. UND does have issues with teachers in certain fields having their priorities screwed up.
  2. This is a hue loss..... At least we have Grady Merz and Rooney coming in still. This still really sucks though.
  3. To me the Simplot smells like money, same with the beets. North Fargo does not smell like money, it smells like a cesspool.
  4. Brian "All You Can Eat" Faison
  5. What you're referring to happens with teams that aren't in shambles. A great example is Auburn. They hire Chisik and with Newton win a title. They then begin the regress back towards the mean. And shortly thereafter Chizik is gone. He took over a 5-7. Went 8-5 the next year. Then got Newton and went 14-0. Then back down to 8-5 without Newton. Then they dipped to 3-9 resulting in Chisik being fired. And the next year with a new coach they lose in the title game after that stunning upset of Bama and a 12-2 season. Then 8-4 the next year. I don't think UND applies to this because of the shape the team was in going into the season with all of the transfers and the lack of recruited depth from the previous coach. Also they installed a totally new offense and tweaked things on defense. They didn't install some fluffy easy to learn spread system, they installed a very complex pro style offense. Then throw in the injuries to QBs and RBs alone and the whole regression to the mean thing gets set aside because it wouldn't be a valid season to measure with. Comparing it to Auburn, they had established talent and installed a very simple offense which resulted in a very quick turn around. They also didn't suffer catastrophic injures to important positions. Next season for UND might be the one to reference as the point before the "regression towards the mean" which, for all we know, could end up being an ascention to the mean. So in other words, stop with the regression towards the mean crap because in this case it's just not valid.
  6. It's 4>0 actually. You can't count championships from other divisions.
  7. Hey dipshit, we were the team that scored 33 that game. Freaking Northern Colorado scored a whopping 14 points.
  8. 2011 vs Idaho, thumped. Then we turned around and had the ball to win it against Fresno St with an NFL starter at QB. If we get thumped by Wyoming it might be a good thing for us going into Fargo. Wake the team up, show the coaches some holes to fix, and get NDSU to relax a bit more.
  9. Funny that you don't understand the way offense and defense play off of each other. Our offense put a ridiculous amount of pressure on the defense last year.
  10. Would it be going out on a limb to say you know from experience?
  11. It's a necessary evil. Otherwise all other threads will be overrun.
  12. There's a lot to love in this post.
  13. He didn't play for the mob, he's not forever indebted to UND and its overzealous fans.
  14. One game at a time.
  15. It depends on what you look at. Simply with wothdrawls alcohol is the worst by far. There's obviously more to it than that though.
  16. Right.... Well, happy 3rd.
  17. According to a student who is no longer interested in his schools team because it's below him? All of your posts are null and void unless they're about your actual team Notre Dame.
  18. We had every excuse to be 2-10 last season. Instead we beat a ranked team and were a tough team to play with the exception of San Jose St, Missouri St, and EWU.
  19. When you think about the state of our team at the time of that game it's damn impressive regardless of your opinion of ranking systems.
  20. At least 5. UNI Poly SUU USD NAU. Impressive, isn't it. Edit. It is 5.... Woo
  21. And yea, we ruined their season. It's a nice feather in the cap of a really good UND team.
  22. Sucks when people exaggerate huh?
  23. The Valley looked good before NDSU was in it. So no, it doesn't.
  24. This is a huge loss. Athletes like him don't come out of ND every year. We need as many ND kids as possible. They develop better and are more reliable than kids from elsewhere.
  25. Does #5 UNI count? At UNI? Where you guys took damn near a decade to get your first win? Took us one try.
