  1. Just win baby!
  2. In testing Maag is our fastest wr. Doesn’t exactly translate to the field though. I’ll die on the hill that we need at least one track star type deep threat on the team to be an elite offense. Everything changes with a true deep threat. Another interesting thing is KK is one of our fastest players but he gets torched every single game. So as we’ve said, speed is only one facet. Awareness is king though.
  3. 4.6 is fast enough for Kooper Kupp. But he’s an unbelievable route runner and player in general to go with it.
  4. This game is the perfect test to see if we have taken our physicality to the next level since moving to the MVFC.
  5. They are huge on the DL. Usually are. Fast, not sure.
  6. Right, one spot not both.
  7. They certainly do not. They sometimes have one smaller speed rusher. Smaller as in 240-250 unless they’re a fr.
  8. Then why do they look bigger? Roster lists are one thing. Reality is another. This also highlights why I’m a proponent of a 4-3, you can better get away with smallish fast LBs since there is another big body in front of them to eat blocks.
  9. I know most of you aren’t a fan of Mauch and his antics but I think he’s a top tier troll and I respect it because his play more than backs it up.
  10. It’s all about the jimmy’s and joes
  11. They’re all over the Midwest. Plenty to go around.
  12. Look at our regional piers, they have no problem finding DL bodies for their 4-3.
  13. I’ve been dreaming of switching to a 4-3 for years now, especially because I don’t agree with the body types our staff employs in our system.
  14. Maag and Bo aren’t too white. Our wr room certainly is though. I like Maag, really good player. Just wish he wasn’t soft. I wish the team wasn’t soft in general.
  15. Poor little 6’4” 210lb Maag getting bullied by big bad 5’10” 187lb Eubanks. Like I said, soft. Our team has no gravel in their guts. Who are the guys on our team that scare the opponent? Who sets the tone? NDSU is full of guys that play with an edge, it’s their brand. They love it. We have nice guys.
  16. I’m with @Bison06 on this one.
  17. He didn’t think the play was over. It was questionable that he was down to me. My issue is that he holds his hands up and looks at the refs instead of showing the DB that he will be the alpha all day. He got punked. Get in his face, don’t shove him, but let him know.
  18. NDSU beat them badly because their star qb got injured. Their entire offense was built around him and the backup didn’t have the same skill set.
  19. It was nothing. Maag was being soft. NDSU guy gave him a little message after the play, knocked the much larger Maag over. I saw it as a microcosm of why we got our asses kicked. We soft, they mean.
  20. If we want to make a run in the playoffs we need to be able to beat good teams on the road. I don’t believe in our defense and I think we’re going to lose but I do think we can compete. I just want to see some anger in our team for once.
  21. Pooch every kick.
  22. Also credit to Tom Miller for legit journalism and a lightning quick turnaround on this story.
  23. Chaves should now go by Dollar Bill Chaves after dropping the bid hammer this time around.
  24. Olympic lifting is standard for college weight programs. It’s the best way to build explosiveness. Baukol also does a ton of range of motion exercises like pistol squats for example.
  25. He did that year.
