That would be a bigger deal for a timing based spread team. It'd be a nice problem to have.

FYP. We have a nice schedule this year. Too bad we don't have more home games though.
-
According to the coaches poll we don't play teams 2 3 4 and 13. I can't wait til we play NAU at the end. It could be for the Bog Sky title. That could help bring the Alerus alive.

Good. Pisses off the players more. Still no respect.

NDSU has a formula for getting to the playoffs and having the all important home field. Play 1-2 non conference one time tomato can each year at home. They've paid big bucks to some terrible teams only the reap the rewards through home playoff games and titles. I don't think they're quite as calculating with the FBS schools that they schedule now. Oregon doesn't fit the usual profile. Iowa does, I wouldn't be suprised to see them win that one.

Charleston Southern, Deleware State, Farris State, Prarie View A&M, Incarnate Word, St. Fracis, Robert Morris, and Lafayette. You're right, they ain't scared.

For example WYO was a spread team before Bohl got there. It works both ways.

The WR is 5'9", so not tall.

After a quick glance at the roster it appears some guys put in the work in the weight room. Santiago is up 10 lbs to 180. This is about right. I wouldn't want him to gain much more than 10 lbs in a year so he can maintain his quickness. Olivera is up 5 lbs to 225. Throw another case on the Molson truck. Fiedler is up 15 to 250. This is really important for him as a blocker. He could probably play at 260 in a year. Georges is up 10 lbs to 180. Hopefully this helps him play every game this year. Palmborg is up 10 lbs to 210. That's a nice size for him to bring more boom. Engwall is up 30 lbs to 265. That's a lot of time spent at Wilkie. Nice work. Schmitz is up 20 lbs to 280. Cox is up 10 lbs to 300. This guy has put in the time to gain 50 lbs since his fr year in transition from DE to OL. Francis is down 20 lbs to 255. Could have quit the team when injuries didn't go his way. Instead he sucked it up switched positions and lost a ton of weight to contribute. Gordon is up 15 lbs to 205. He obviously didn't mess around with fr weights with Baukol.

The best defense vs teams like these is a power offense that keeps them on the bench and out of sync. We will control the clock. It makes their margin for error smaller than they're used to. Advantage us.

There are plenty of people who either don't follow football close enough to realize that NDSU had probably the greatest FCS team of all time outside of Randy Moss' Marshall team going into that year or are too blind with hate to realize it was very likely NDSU was going to be capable of taking them down. It didn't help that KSU had an all time great team the previous year with a Heisman candidate at QB so people thought they would still be that good. I cheered and cheered hard for KSU but in the back of my mind I knew that NDSU had a team of stone cold killers. It was a great game but KSU was no where near what they were the year before and were breaking in a new QB that game. Perfect opportunity for NDSU and just as they seem to have done clinically since 2007 they executed with brutal efficiency.

We will most likely be picked between 2-4. Montana is probably the preseason #1. As usual these don't mean squat.
-
Valdez is the LB. Maybe his first name is Al. Bowling Green will be much better than WYO was. Fortunately we will be much better than lasts years version of UND.
-
Bowling Green has a Ray Guy nominee punter (averaged 46 yards a kick), a Belitnikoff nominee WR (72 - 951 - 6), and a Butkis/Bednarick nominee LB (144 tackles). It seems they didn't lose everything from last year.
-
Keep this bull$%!# argument out of the football forum. NDSU football and UND hockey don't play each-other. Never will. Let's compare football programs..... We have work to do.

Did Hannible ever show? I thought he went elsewhere.
