  1. I did not call for his firing. Instead I pointed out his half truth reporting.
  2. If this isn't a Mic drop statement then I don't know what is!
  3. Exactly, the guy was entertaining!
  4. Barney just moved to my #2
  5. Sort of a bummer, he is my second favorite coach in the Big Sky...Bubba obviously #1.
  6. Anyone? Paging Teeder!
  7. Let's get back to talking about sports, Miller blog on O'Brein: http://millersports.areavoices.com/2017/03/30/what-obriens-injury-retirement-means-for-und-defense/
  8. Point is he is using emotion to further his agenda. If he used facts and figures just once I would give him a pass.
  9. Case and point. This is what pure emotion looks like. Hey Brad, how about you mention that these "families" costed the university well over $2,000,000 per year? If you try to call him out on Twitter he comes back with lines straight from the CNN playbook.
  10. This is what a real reporter looks like. Very refreshing to see.
  11. Maybe so Cratter. I am just calling out his one sided bull$%!# and some people can't handle it. On the other hand Tom Miller's article was fantastic. It had those pesky little facts in it.
  12. You didn't miss my point, you chose to not acknowledge it. Brad is a reporter and failed to report the entire story. Instead he chose to ignore facts and play on people's emotion. His reporting on this has been a complete half story and I know he is better than that. I think a spot at CNN just opened up for him. Lastly, anyone who thinks objectively knows that Womens hockey and big time do not belong in the same sentence.
  13. 1) I do. He is a public figure and good journalists put their feelings and personal opinions aside and report facts as is. Show me where he broke down the actual figures. His main argument is about placing women on the olympic team. He is playing off of emotions as evidenced by his posting history ever since the budget issues surfaced. Not even once did he reference how much this program costs the university. You don't have to like it but I believe UND made the correct decision today and Brad is publicly pouting. 2) how exactly would you handle this situation? There is no good way to handle this. If the coaches knew in advance this would have leaked sooner and people would be complaining about that. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
  14. This is the GF Herald master account. They should look into reporters getting their own work accounts.
  15. No I just replied to a dumb question with my own dumb question. I have explained in multiple posts on here why I am less than impressed with him lately.
  16. Really? This is the only one I am aware of. This is also the account he reports all his news on a well as his opinions on Womens hockey: https://twitter.com/SchlossmanGF
  17. I do understand your position here, probably more than most. I work with journalists every day. As I type this there are a dozen journalists working at their desks within earshot of mine. However I work on the business side of things and I fully support the decisions made today. In reference to Brad, this is a prime example of someone who should have two twitter accounts. One for his personal opinions and one for work. I would follow his work account because I think he is a great journalist. If this were the case I would not have spoken out. He started this with his crusade for the Womens national team and now it continues with the money pit that is UND Womens hockey. Not once did I see him objectively report things such as financials. If we can get this info, he can too. IMO he made a mistake here by being completely on one side. He is fair game in my eyes.
  18. Brad is not off limits. He has gone out of his way to defend this financial disaster. He is fair game and deserves any criticism that comes his way.
  19. His behavior as of late is embarrassing.
  20. Take a step back from the ledge. This will greatly benefit other sports down the road. I enjoyed winning 4 major championships this year and this move increases the probability of similar success in the future.
  21. Womens hockey is a money pit and there is no way around it. I am happy UND showed some balls and cut sports that bleed the athletic department dry. Now we can focus on funding more popular sports at higher levels.
