You know someone will demand a recount
-
Triouxper you should have started a poll
-
I know I already voted but I will throw Forney out as a dark horse
-
I'am going with Miller and Kozek
-
If you watched Lee Goren his freshman year he had like two goals and looked very out of place,Colby Genoway is another and looked how they turned out.
-
#1 Minnesota Time will tell if the Virg Foss is to much of a burden
#2 St Cloud Didn't look all that great here, like the Badgers their goalie bails them out
#3 UND Hak straightens the team out during X-Mas break and go 12-4 or 11-5 in the remaining league games
#4 CC Zaba plays very well and their Offense keeps improving.
#5 Wisconson Elliot nuff said
#6 Denver Injuries keep knocking them down, not the same fire as the past seasons
#7 AA very good at home,team concept,Lawson
#8 Mich Tech Not quite over the hump
#9 Mankato Tormeys(sp) injury not looking good for any Landcow wins
#10 UMD someone figure this team out, could spell the end of Sandelins tenure

Whats so complicated the year is not over, they haven't even played half of their league games yet.

Thanks Goon, I would sure like to see him back here next fall(Siouxmama could pass that on for me if you would)

One question with the offensive struggles the Sioux are having why not give others a chance to show what they can do. What would it hurt, it's not like we could score less. After a player leaves like this can he sign with another college team or is the LOI binding in this case?(I guess that was two
)

What a bummer. The little we got to see him play I think he was/is going to be a good player. Hope to see you back here soon and good luck in the BCHL.
-
you guys just aren't true fans. can't you see the ship is sinking and it's dragging the bandwagon down the drain with it? tech clearly has a better recruiting class this year, so the sioux have no chance to win the games. i don't know if will win another game in 06.
You realize we have only four more games in 2006
The boys can go along way towards squashing all the negativity this weekend. Crank it up boys and lets play Fighting Sioux hockey

Try something different, Yttrium has a point spread the wealth, three lines, find some linemates who click and away we go.
-
Sounds like a good formula, can we slip into their gatorade or pregame meals

My Mom grew up at 1614 Lewis Blvd. Small world sometimes. House was lost in the 97 flood, I believe.
Was it the house with the stone finish on the front? there are still three house left on that side of the street

Ok from all of the threads I can figure out that our Goaltending is weak, our defense is offensive and our offense isn't. Now how do we fix it?
-
After sitting through saturdays game the Sioux did play better just mental mistakes cost them the win. One thing I noticed(my own opinion) is that players aren't being used correctly. Having Genoway and Lee together they just got muscled around in front of their own net, both of those players are offensive minded and don't work well together. The dot line sure dominated ever time they were on the ice but no one seemed to take it to the net or look for the shot. Hakstol needs to shake thing up,try Walski in goal maybe, switch all the lines up see what happens. I sure don't know the answers but it seems like our coaching staff doesn't either. It's broken lets fix it.

I think Bradley was the kid sitting in the stands in section 303 on saturday night, couldn't tell for sure because he had on a stocking cap. Also there was some tall lanky kid sitting next to him in a suit as well. Any clue who he might be. I was wondering if he is a shut down defenseman?
Brad Eidsness was not there on sat. night, not sure who those guys were but Eidsness was sitting up buy the press box on friday.
-
No didn't get the chance. He doesn't have super stellar #'s but I also don't know much about that AJHL. Maybe Sioux Hab-It could help us on that?
-
He sat right up by us with Mertens. It appears to be a goalie recruit Brad Eidsness from the Oktoks Oilers. Maybe the fans aren't the only ones worried about the goaltending.
-
8 minutes to score one became 4 minutes to score one.
Freshman mistake? Yes.
But why did two senior captains do it?
That's the worst part is that we beat ourselves with bad penalities or weak goaltending
-
Boy where do I start, scorers aren't scoring, our defense isn't and our Jr. goalie doesn't look very focused or into the game ala Andy Kollar when he became the starter. How does the high powered offense go from 18 shots one period to 4 shots the next? It took almost 8 minutes to get a shot on goal in the second period. This team never seems to play with much emotion or fire, maybe that comes from the coaching staff they never seem to fire up much either. With less then two minutes left in a one goal game you put out Kaip-Fabian-Zajac, they have fours goals between them and Zajac has all four
.The Sioux would seem to have more fire power then that but the staff doesn't seem to use some players properly. Rylan Kaip was a very good penality killer last year and he is hardly used in that role this year(penality killing is almost last in the league this year hmmmm.) This years team has been caught on very poor line changes, weak goals, the second goal last night, odd man rushes and no intensity. If somethings not working fix it, change things up. On another thread someone said this team has poor practice habits, come on Hak thats your area to cover. I'am not calling for anyones head like I have in previous years but dam these guys need to step it up or we will be in the outside looking in for home ice and a NCAA bid. Maybe Berry did things different than Jackson but you still have the same players they just need to find the right combos. Maybe go back to last years combos and see what happens, Lee-Chorney, Radke-Finley and Bina-Jones on Defense and there are lots of options for the foward lines. As far as the Goaltending Phil doesn't look very into the game at times(last nights second goal) maybe Hak needs to sit Phil for a game and let Walski back up Greico who knows. Phils last two years he seemed more athletic and more into the games, we know he has the talent he needs to put the mental edge into it. Rant is over lets start tonight and Go Sioux.

Not every player has to score twenty goals or put up forty assists to be considered a success, on every team there are role models, muckers, grinders, checkers and of course scorers. NONE of us has any idea what Hak is asking of these players, hopefully he knows best and we go on the second half run that the Sioux did the past two year.
