  1. Lives to bitch06 probably has never seen a good hockey player is his life, bitter you got cut from peewees there little guy. If your really nice maybe the Sioux players will sign you crying towel. Commadore and Greene will have long careers in the NHL and you will still be the bitter little weasel complaining on message boards that they stink, have no talent etc. Lives to Bitch don't go away mad just go away :0;) This post can go for Lopsided too.

  2. I actually had not considered parking in the crease one way or the other. The only thing I know for sure about parking in front of the net is you get the crap beat out of you. :D

I was pointing out that for all of the posts on this topic, none had even mentioned, let alone be bothered by the retaliatory crash. As for running the goaltender, I don't think there is an official stat for it, but I doubt the Gophers do it any more than the Sioux, Badgers, Huskies, Wolverines etc.

Granted all teams do it but most fans don't admit it. Kisios run on briggs was bush league and should have been five and a game imho.
  3. Maybe Lives To Scorn could try a different approach than throwing players under the bus, present and former. Nobodys perfect, if you don't like something don't be afraid to express it just don't be so vile in doing it (example: I wish Finley would be more Physical or the defense would break out of their zone better)

Someone else posted that these players are very young and they will make mistakes, what they do from there is the key. The WCHA has always been a JR. and SR. league. :glare::huh:

  4. Fine no more ripping finley, but if he gets walked as many times as I know he will against the Gophs It is open season.

Maybe with your love affair with the Golden Rodents you should post over on GPL,you would be loved over there

  5. cut him :huh::D

lets give the guy a little more than a season and a 1/3 before this kind of halarious statement :silly:

The same could have been said about Smaby in the beginning of his second year. Take a deep breath and let players develop.

  6. If either the US or Canadian team gets bumped before the WJC championship game, would those players return early, or do they all stay through the completion of the tournament?

A couple of things. MTU doesn't seem to be playing like a doormat. A shorthanded Sioux team will need to be on top of their game to take necessary points at home from them.

It would appear that the Sioux could really use some talented guys to step up a notch over the next 5 weeks or so. If guys like Miller, Forney and Kozek could be effective on a top 2 line that would really help round things out when Toews is missing. If Forney could make the jump to the 2nd line effectively, we could be alright. I like leaving Kozek and VandeVelde together if they are playing so well as a checking line. The points they prevent the other team's top line from scoring are as important as what they might score on their own. I'd like to leave Miller on that line since they've been effective, but thought his scoring potential on that top line (we witnessed it in Mankato) might be a priority. It would be interesting to see how Forney reacts on a line expected to produce. So far he's played on bottom lines with other freshmen. Put out there with a couple of cycling studs like Porter and Watkins it would be interesting to see how he fits in.

    Duncan/Oshie/Miller

    Porter/Watkins/Forney

    Zajac/VandeVelde/Kozek

    Fabian/Kaip/Bishop/Martens

Looks good to me,lets line them up and drop the puck. I like Bishops game I wish he could see more ice time.

  7. What are you smoking?

Stafford led the team in scoring last season (48 points and 24 goals...including 7 shorties) and you're trying to tell us that he only showed up against the lower teams? :silly:

VandeVelde may develop into a great player for the Sioux, and I have noticed that his play has improved greatly in the past few weeks, but he isn't at the level of Spirko...yet.

    What he said

  8. I noticed that he required attention to his injured arm after getting tackled by a CC player. Are you still a superstar at your job after such an injury. :D

I noticed the same thing he went right down the tunnel but came back to finish the game. Maybe the shoulder isn't 100% and that is whats holding him back.(note Toews holding back is like everyone else 110%)

  9. Here are a couple of other names for down the road.

Derek Lee - Salmon Arm ('90)

Kelly Zajac - Salmon Arm (mentioned)

Riley Nash - Salmon Arm (mentioned)

Kyle St. Denis - Vernon ('90 - East Coast Bound?)

Also, I would speculate that Brett Hextall could possibly become an 08. Why? While it appears he has hit a wall in the BCHL and has hardly scored in the past few weeks playing for a very explosive Penciton team. Although he is still #1 in penalties. I suspect he gets his firey side from his mother... :silly: Also most BCHLers that have played for the Sioux have played 2 years in the BCHL. I suspect that if we got Riley Nash he could also be an 08.

Finally, who is Tyler Bozak? He appears to have come out of nowhere and is leading the BCHL in scoring by a good margin. Note he is already 20. Can you say 25 year old Canadian? I have no idea if he is even going the college route. Does anyone know anything about him?

    Bozak has committed to Denver
