I believe Bast has played his way into a regular shift.

I think #6 looked way more comfortable out there then he has , just needs to play.

Why would a player not want to play here / NCHC? Barn is best in the country, training area is world class , charter flights to away games very few bus rides. Play in a full barn with very loyal fans. Basically get treated like royals, Berry better figure this out because this will fall on his shoulders if we have a very hard working team but lacking on talent.no reason not to play here unless Berrys style of play or personality does fit with there players. I can’t quite figure out what the draw of the big 10 is especially in Minnesota , no fans no excitement .

So we lose recruits we had committed or didn’t want and now we can’t close the deal on blue chip recruits , sounds good for the hockey program.

Lots of firsts this year, will this be the first year ND doesn’t make the NCHC tourney? This team might go 4-4 the next 8 and push them right to the edge.

Zombo, Archibald, Ward Belfour and Morelli. Blais had quite a pipeline for awhile.

I’m with you on this , probably have to win the NCHC tourney to get in.

Berry needs this tape to show the boys how to play the game, up on their toes and getting after it.

So what’s up with Johnson, still injured? brought him in over Morrow and doesn’t play, some of these decisions make you go hmmmmm.

Does Mitchell Miller get a chance to play college hockey? He is having a fantastic season so far.

Have you watched Mankato ? Not a very open system. Hopefully Berry and the staff have bigger fish on the line (Cooley, Dyck etc )

Optimism

I’m not saying they need to blow it up but A lot of our players don’t seem to be panning out and you can see by the scoring and putting players where their not used to playing.

I’m for one not saying any player is a bust but players just don’t forget how to score but maybe Berrys systems need to be adjusted , lots of examples of players who scored on previous teams but lose their touch when they get here.

I forgot to mention the transfers , Ford and Calder big scorers in the WCHA and now they forgot how to do just that.

Question does Coach Berry develop players ? Ness, Budy , Portz and Kunz were brought in because of them scoring in juniors , around a point per game , they come to und and flounder. They all can’t lose their scoring touch that fast can they? Chris Wilkie was in a scoring race work Boeser and came here couldn’t score transfers to Cc and bingo he’s a scorer. Maybe it’s Berry system.

If we go 4-8 the rest of the way the Ralph is going to be pretty empty.

Under I think it will be 2-3 per game and we will be 1 per game

This lands on the coaching staff, lack of discipline, team focus or just lack of talent. Friday implodes , lack of team speed and not scoring is very big problems with this team but the coaching staff doesn’t believe this are issues. I remember how long it took Berry to react to Rhett Gardners lack of discipline , can’t be good coach all the time.

Character guys that buy into the culture is way this staff is after.
