I was at teh game last night. Speed of the game was way beyond the Sioux frosh. Whole lot of running around. Miami really put the pressure on, they caught the bad breaks, it could have been 2 -0 Miami in the first five minutes. JP was the man, notwithstanding the "oops" on the length of ice clearing puck. On top of JP's saves, Miami had some very good chances where they just "whiffed". I would say that today against Mich State, they will have to play much better, less chasing, much fewer penalties. We were extremely lucky on all the odd man rushes Miami had. I would suspect that Mich State, forget that they are more defensive, will bring it even harder. Tournament was not too well organized. One concession stand open in the entire arena. Probably knew there would be a lot of open seats, but that was ridiculous. Oh, and would you lie a Bud or Bud Light? The Miami band started the national anthem as they players were just skating onto the ice, needless to say the players were very confused as were the 1000 fans. Maybe that's what started the confusion for the Sioux. By the way, if you didnt know, we have a new coach, Rick Hakstol. Hope he does OK. Mike Parich played as well. PA Announcer was one of those guys who thought he was going to get the 1000people, mostly disinterested people in the stands excited with his announcing and the mindless piped in music. Arena is decent, roundball priority, scorebaord like the Frozen 4, BBall. Gates were poorly signed and manned. We parked in the back, walked in a back door, without a ticket and into the arena. Saved $10. Good for a laugh. A few Sioux fans in attendance. A group of Dayton Bomber supporters were cheering for us, wearing Indian headresses. Ouch. Today we will need more positional play, less chasing, and less odd man rushes.

U was so tempted to buy the Datflix package this year. I didnt and bought today's game only. No picture, football roster on the side, out of "views". Yada, yada, yada, Does anyone know who to email about this latest fiasco. My gosh, how long have they been doing this?

I live in Indy so will be attending with a Michigan fan. Hope he behaves. Does any know how well this tournament draws? Both UC and Oh State football teams are on the road that weekend.

My father landed on Omaha Beach, He has passed, and I now own a German 7mm Mauser, a Nazi Parade bayonet, and had a Nazi 9mm Lugar. The overriding thought that was reinforced was that CLASSY Sioux fans draw a tremendous amount of respect from elsewhere. The parents and 5 kids behind us from Hudson, OH hockey. The kids were sold on the Sioux. There were a bunch of adult??? DU fans, completely obnoxious. All of the kids wanted to play for the Sioux. "I want to be number 11", etc. The Gopher father from Kentucky, with his young son in a Sioux jersey and hat. The father and his son from Dallas. No connection to us, just reputation. The son was going to UND this summer to Hockey camp. Father said he was happy to be able to come with his son, and that UND had the best fans he ever encountered. The two guys from New Jersey in the Varsity men's room. "You have the best jersey's and fans ever, we are going to make a point to come to the Ralph". My message is that we continue to be true Sioux. We take our lumps, that is life, no whining about ref's, and congratulate the opponents. AND, cheer for our Sioux victories. I was very proud.

Please tell me that the Pep Band is going to Columbus. After the Kupchella/Thomas fiasco of last year I would hope???

Here's the scoop direct from the Buckeye's mouth (He is an ME, so information should be at least technically correct). Not much around the Arena. The Varsity Club is the most authentic college bar. It is located East on Lane from the Schott. A 15 min walk. The Buckeye Hall Of Fame Cafe, is on Olentangy River Rd, South of the Schott. It is a pain the *ss to get there, with some traffic problem, and has Valet parking. Advantage is it's large size. They may have a shuttle service to the Schott. Will forward when my daughter finds out. There is a Champ's sports bar, one exit South of the Schott. There also is a Damon's, just North of the Schott on Olentangy River Rd.

4 of us, Skateblade, his wife, myself and son will be there. our tix are nosebleed but what an awesome reward to have the Sioux there. Who would have thunk it!!! I understand there really isnt squat near the Schott to hang out at. My son inlaw is an OSU grad so I will get a list of places, if any exist where perhaps we can meet for a pregame warmup.

I agree, completely unacceptable performance. If the Ralph is going to sell a product at least make sure they have one. Right now they dont. I just dont understand why they would pretend to have something and not give us what we are asked to pay for??
