  1. I guess after listening to our competitors call UND a bunch of country bum kins and knuckle dragging, snuff chewing hicks I think it's kind of funny to be called elite. It would be cool to play them guys more, seems like it could be a fun rivalry.
  2. In reading that blog post, all I see is the board running to change the name, I don't see any activity by the State board or it's politicans trying to do anything to retain it. I don't think the State Board of Higher Education realizes the fall that will follow "WHEN" they change the name. What would really be sad is that if UND went ahead and changed the name and they got snubbed by the Summit League.
  3. I agree look at the size of the equipment now compared to back then. Also, the carbon Fiber sticks are lot better than the wood of yester years.
  4. I think it's funny that Cornell fans brag about the Lynah advantage but I don't think the rink is anymore intimidating than any other WCHA rink. Then I read somewhere that no Western team had been there since 1979. So if anything that advantage is probably over stated. Maybe the WCHA needs to travel to some of these places and play.
  5. That might be it?
  6. I still think that anyone could win the league title ion St Paul and there will probably be a team that doesn't make the final five that will actually go to the NCAA tourney this season. Also, I don't know if anyone wants to play UAA right now, they seem to win the second game of most series and you never know what could happen on Sunday. I watched the some of the second game of the UAA and C.C. game and UAA took it to them. Of course UAA advantage is the trip up to Alaska is so poor, and it's probably killing them to come to the Lower 48.
  7. Maybe he was talking about this little nugget.
  8. I have been scanning the posts from the Cornell hockey beat writers and they were respectful and complentry. The tv broadcasters were very respectful and complentry. INCH's Gladdy was very complentry of UND, he from Ithica bent over back wards to say nice things. Sounds like he brought Brad and Jayson warm cloths for the second night.
  9. Sioux yeah, yeah!
  10. It would be interesting to see who it was?
  11. I tweeted that concern to Gladdy from INCH as well.
  12. That was in the past they have the new policy the announced this season... UND has been the best traveling to teams in far away places. The started and ended the season on the east coast last season.
  13. I supposed the guys are going to put on a good show for him. I would recommend he go to the DU and UND series.
  14. Minnesota and Wisconsin won't they have big expensive athletic departments to fund. The benifits of being a big ten + 1 team.
  15. I like Dell size and positioning, he seems like one of the bigger goalies UND has had in some time. Dell also doesn't get out of postion as much and is more of a stand up/butterfly goalie. I like what I have seen out of him.
  16. I forgot about the first one.
  17. I think it would be cool to have a subway classic with Miami, Cornell, BSU and UND one of these years. These teams would be a fun tourney.
  18. I actually still have hope that UND finishes in the 4th. But I don't think 5th is that bad either, because I don't know if the Sioux want to go three games with UAA. I also don't worry that much about UND facing C.C., SCSU or Minnesota in the WCHA playoffs.
  19. What am I up to? Also, are you going to the final five? I will be at the rink this weekend?
  20. I think you might be right but If he lays a stinker either night, in will come Dell.
  21. In essence what Jeanotte is doing is he is trying to sway the judges on the supreme court, very unprofessional in my opinion. Jeanotte is also questioning the Judges integrity. I believe he would be better off staying out of this.
  22. Good points: I watched both games and there was a lot of blown calls and non calls that benefited both team up and down the ice. In last night's game the refs gave Cornell a string a power plays on ticky tacky calls and UND benefited as well.
  23. In retrospect the game on Friday should have been at least a tie the refs blew two calls on the goals, not the first time it has cost UND points, Ironic that it happened against between UND and CU and allowed them to win a game. what the heck the NHL blows calls too. If the Sioux had to play Cornell in the NCAA tourney again, I am not at all worried and I like our chances. The ECAC officials call the game very similar to the WCHA no consistency in the first two periods and then you have to kill your opponent to get a call in the third. The Vandy non call was the right call. Coming down the pipe has a good point on the style of play in the ECAC. I can't believe people pay top dollar to watch team play the neutral zone trap want to watch a game like Friday night.
  24. UAA is actually beating C.C. right now. Of course there is no one in the stands.
  25. I watched the game on B2 and that was a really good game.
