The messenger was the politicos and portly was the hatchet man. If you think portly is a new talking point you havent been paying attention. LOL Not to mention there were other forces at work. But as I said before---DB did this one himself. After he told the SBOHE what was going on he should have just told the public the same or shut up and ride it out. Because when the information came out it showed NDSU really wasnt the bad guy in this whole thing. They just stepped in it badly with their terrible explanation-presser. Then it went down hill from there. Whats bad is there was a simple fix and they just kept making it worse.

As an interm pres he was there to just hold the ship together and on course until another pres was found is my understanding. If he thought he was going to accomplish all that as an interm then he may have misconstrued why he was hired or he was looking to stay on full time and wanted that feather in his hat. Yeah sometimes we all have made statements that later we kind of go---did I really say that? I always thought it would have been cool to have a former player as the pres. FYI--His brother Jon and I were teammates..

I cant pass judgement on Dick as he was at SU for a short time. But from what I heard he wasnt liked and he also had made some comments that a president shouldnt have made.

As far as the bids and negotiations there is a lot of stink to go around for everyone involved. The Dean B crap show is just that. I dont think he has any hope of continuing at NDSU and will more than likely will finish out as a lame duck pres. IMO
