You beat me to it, I was going to check out these stats.

Other than the quality of our placekicking and punting (which has not been good), special teams has been pretty good the last couple of years.

other than placekicking and punting???? not much left after those two very important pieces of the special teams puzzle.

Any reporting out there on camp?

I watched the Bubba interview on Youtube, but that was awful. I like Bubba, but there is not substance to any of his comments. Everyone works hard, and is doing what is asked ... it is always the most vanilla interview.

he should just farm out all interviews to danny

Family of four just to get into the building lower bowl was $400. To a person I talked to cost was the reason they opted not to go.

"Large events".......I'll call BS. Most people are in closer contact when they go to a Walmart for 30-60 minutes. Covid numbers in ND have dropped 90% in 2 months. Armacost....and Schloss continue to use Covid as a continued excuse for everything but that sh!t needs to end.

What needs to be done at a minimum is to triple the amount of student tickets within the 3000. At least give them something at a reasonable cost ($5 a ticket) that their dollars paid education wise isn't getting them.....plus they'd show up.

arn't military people supposed to somewhat fearless?  wtf armacost?...schloss...nothing left to say.

Do you think they are going to let this transgender policies destroy women's sports in US after 40 plus years of title 9 to get women's sports to where it is now. I just don't think they will let go that far. I think politics will change when they see it could change  women's sports across America were already seeing some work on this at state level and i got to believe people common sense is going to prevail. Also i don't see how this will translate to world women's sports because if this happens it will kill that also. Its going to be interesting but when the average American who see where there is no opportunity for girls to compete and get scholarship to go school are going to become quite vocal and also become a political issue.

where have you been the last few years....some people wait till they see the riot that is on the tv miles away out their front window before doing something....

I am not picking on Tiffin but wondering what level of support is coming to the Women's programs in recent years its just not scholarships  but total effort to recruit players here to UND. I know there is no expense left for us recruit hockey players and amount of support i believe its like no where else in  the country but the question lies at what expense to other UND sports. Yes hockey generates a lot of revenue but i still think this UND athletics is team effort in developing quality sports department.  I know there other ideas and feelings on this but UND in the past was known for more than being hockey school we had highly regarded football, basketball, and volleyball programs and we were starting to build programs in soccer and softball. I believe this all can be achieved.

with the new federal legislation...."women's" sports is dead anyways they just don't know it yet.

What's happen to UND women's sports in last few years cancelled hockey, basketball is mess, and now hockey is going downhill too.  Just three years ago we competing going to NCAA tournament and now in all these sports were bottom of league and plus we lost women's hockey.

total 180....it's a headscrather for sure....

I see it as very little room for error with a kicker, and/or the special teams coach.  On one hand, you can't have 3 scholarship kickers to create the competition, waste of $$.  On the other hand if you only bring in one guy and he doesn't progress as projected then you're in a bit of trouble as UND has been.  We have a nice smorgasbord of kickers this year, not sure of the money situation, but hopefully we get kick-offs in the end zone plus a good FG kicker all in one, and don't spend more than 1 scholarship in the process.

we were really really spoiled for years with specials teams..fromg rog to the moustache to muss....seemed like we had a legit kicker every year for 20 years...under kotelnicki it seemed like every opposing fg was going to be blocked.

can't wait for next month to see some football every week!!!!

Kicking has been a problem for a couple of years now.  I hope it changes soon.

it starts and ends with kostitch...how much longer are we gonna to have jv special teams and be ok with it?

  9. you would think the second he signed with a d2 school instead of a b12 school his "Dad/Mom" wouldn't post on here anymore considering the boasts of he extraordinary talents that any FBS schools should see with their eyes closed...but nope.

Schuster is the man.  If his performance against S. Houston as a true fresh didn't show you that you are football blind.  Boltman is #2 and will even throw the ball some.  Vaughn is a head scratcher to some cause he looks the part off the field (not sure if he figures it out, changes positions, transfers) Neal transfers to DII, Feeney will have a shot when he gets there.

problem with using Schusters performance against SHSU as a marker of being an all american is that SHSU ended being a really bad team...i hope we have higher aspirations that beating bad schools like shsu.

Clearly you guys are going to need to hire a new coach after the end of the season.  Hopefully that new coach will be able to convince some of your good forwards to stay, while bringing in some talent at the guard spots.  The extra year of eligibility might help.  Looking at conference-only stats (the Summit site does this) the Hawks are one of the best rebounding and shot-blocking teams (#1 or #2).  Lots of stats in the average range, but what has killed you is shooting efficiency offense, and perimeter defense.

So basically you need to upgrade your guards (and coach).  The program isn't in dumpster-fire territory.  Just unbalanced, IMO.  I think you'll win enough games to go to SF.  I'd be shocked if that wasn't the case.

yes this interim stuff needs to be fixed....teams like usd and sdsu will/are using it against us...interim just doesn't look good.

So prepare yourself.  Here is the lineup

    Ihenacho

    Panoam

    Igbanugo

    Sims

    Rebraca

That is 3 changes to the lineup.  Ihenacho back to the starting lineup, Panoam in for Nero, Igbanugo slides to the 3, Sims slides to the 4 to replace Sueker.

A clear message has been sent, now lets see the response.

    ben hits 10 3's tonight!
