I think Hak new that putting Kozek on that top line would energize the team. I think he was saving it for the right moment, when we needed a jump. Sort of like Rocky fighting right handed for much of the bout. In the third period and OT, the bench is going to get a lot shorter too.

I also couldn't believe all the centermen tossed. Kind of ridiculous. It happened vs Princeton too. It was funny, my comment right at the start of the game was meant to be sarcastic (saying we had a poor start and we are dead), and then as I am about to chime back in, ss.com went down due to overrun server. What a game. Time to get ready for next weekend. If we play like we played this weekend, BC will eat our lunch for us. We have to get better. Talk about character guys and leaders that wear the C for the Sioux. Captain Porter scores the winner last year to send us to the F4, and Captain Kaiper starts the rally to send us to the F4 this year. That's leadership.

Watching this DU/Wisconsin game, the boys need to go upstairs on Connelly. We also need to get traffic down low. Vande needs to do what he does best, which is wreak havoc down low. DU had a number of chances early and hit pipes. We need to make those shots count. Just like yesterday. I'll gladly get outshot two to one if ours are great looks that we finish on. Wisconsin appears to love to try and force turnovers on that point to point pass. No mistakes back there Joe, Robbie, taylor, Zach, Jake and Chay. How many of you think that Mark Chorney is pumped for this game??!

It's funny, because he loved us last year. You'd think the story about "The Pact" would get some of those with "eastern bias" to support the Sioux.

I got it now too. Just didn't work for a little while this morning.

We've never needed to score first more this season. 1. Wisconsin's defensive system is tough to score on if they get a lead. 2. That crowd will be a killer if they go up. 3. we've gotten better, but we are a much better team when playing with a lead than trying to come back (despite our losses to NH, SCSU and MTU). I'd love to see a four pass goal off the face-off: Oshie to Chorney, Chorney to Duncan, Duncan to Miller, Miller to Oshie 1-0 Smart hockey, play our game. Wisconsin can only win if we allow them to dictate the style and tempo of the game. I want the checking line and the d-corps with the attitude that if they see someone in a red jersey, that person is on their back.
