  1. I think we can easily knock CC off. I've seen them play a few times this year and IMPO I don't think they're much to brag about. Especially since we're at home. We tied them both nights in GF last year and CC's team was much better and the Sioux not as good. Just my opinion.
  2. I heard that they pulled the webcast because game ticket sales were down and SCSC officials were complaining and figured the webcast wouldn't help?? Who knows. Still on radio, correct?
  3. That also the system I am looking at on www.mysatpros.com. The dish in the complete system I'm looking at is a little smaller though. Pete said it shouldn't be a problem where I'm at (Colo.) but when I come up north it might be. But I figured I'd take the chance and if I have to upgrade I will then. The dishes themselves aren't to bad. I'm not to worried about it. Did they say how long it would take to get delivered? We're actually coming up there for the holidays and I figured if I timed it right it could be delivered right when we got back and we could have it installed and ready to go for the UAA series. YEA!
  4. I WANT ONE!!!!!! Kegerator that is!
  5. Great minds think alike. So are you installing it yourself?
  6. Okay, so sure what just happened. I was in the middle of typing and got kicked out. So if this shows up twice, that's why. Here we go again. This is the information that I have gathered from Pete. No there is no monthly fee. Just the price of the equipment and you can get a basic system for around $250. I have DirecTV also and would keep that for my locals and other channels. This new dish would be used solely for Sioux hockey (they deserve their own dish anyway ) You can get moving ones where you can get different channels and such but I haven't looked at those. As far as I know it is just the home games you'll be able to get. So that's what I know (I think). Anyone have any more info, sugesstions? I think it's a he!! of a deal. I'm in Colo. and have not been able to find anyone (Denver even!) who has the equipment to get the games. Thought I had found a place last Friday, but then called during game time and they were unable to get it. Just to check, there wasn't any difficulty with the feed on Friday night was there? Anywho, I thinking, get the dish, a keg, a few friends... life is grand!!
  7. I'm here too! But like you the actual broadcast has a very substancial lag time, so I listen to the game and then check here during intermissions. Just got back from a dissapointing championship football party. Oh well, still have hockey hopes. Nick Fuher is in tonight, he wasn't last night was he?

Damn! It's good to have a great weekend of hockey back! Seems like it's been forever!
  10. I just read the article in the GF Herald. The sense of family that town has never ceases to amaze me. Thanks to all those volunteers! Like I said before, I will be thinking and praying for her and her family and for her safe return.
  11. I haven't watched any sort of news all week. Unfortunately I am gone in the morning by the time those shows come on. I did just get an email on it though. The Sioux fans here in Colorado are praying for her safe return. I wish I was there to help. This really touches me having been born and raised in GF (as I'm sure it does everyone), but this kind of stuff isn't supposed to happen there.
  12. What's this about? I haven't heard anything about it down here in CO.
  13. Thanks for sharing. Very nice!
  14. A couple of the people I am going to the game with tonight can't go so I have two tickets available for tonights game in the alumni section. They are $16 each.
  15. Damn! That's what I get for being this excited and trying to type as fast as I think. I even re-read that thing about 3 times thinking, what's wrong with it? Something doesn't seem to be flowing, but I can't put my finger on it......
  16. Optimism, I love it! I don't know for sure what's going on after the game. I don't think I drink somewhere is out of the question, damn near necessary if we win. Which we will, so let's plan on it. I'm in section 7 tonight, I think the section you are referring to is 6, which is where the alumni seats were last year and I am making the assumption they are in the same place this year. Behind the goalie on the side we shoot on twice, which would be across from the students. I will look for you tonight. I think we can get a few people to go out afterwards.
  17. Anywhere is fine with me. Hmmm, a gopher roast....... sounds fun. We might have to put our heads together. I am coordinating the satelite party for that game. I know someone else who wanted to do some sort of tail-gating, roasting something or other party too. I think we could get a pretty big crowd, it's just getting the word out. There's a ton of Sioux fans here. Anywho, that's another weekend, this weekend it's DU!
  18. Like I said before, COUNT ME IN!! There's beer, I'm there. Not exactly sure where the Campus Lounge is, but will make due. What time are you plannin' on arrivin'? Is the Campus Lounge within walking distance of the arena? Say, when you said you live about an hour west of the Springs, are you in Divide? I know some Sioux fans who live up there.
  19. Ya know, I was beginning to think the same thing! Hopefully the Sioux will shoot that idea down the drain this weekend. Without hockey to keep me occupied in the winter I would be getting into all SORTS of trouble!
  20. Yeah, but those series were during the second 1/2 of the season last year when NOTHING was going their way. I have to admit though, last weekend, listening to the SCSU games, I too experienced a little de ja vu (sp?). Post! Wide open net and misses! I thought oh no, not again!! Let's hope it doesn't keep happening. I hear ya on the wins. I haven't seen one since I've been here (4 years!) Now granted, they have won, against CC two years ago on Sat. night for sure. They also swept Denver at Denver that year (2000/2001 season). But for whatever reason I was not there. Can't remember why. Anywho, Sioux, CO - are you going to both the games? I think it would be fun to get some people together before the game on Friday for a little pre-game spirits. Somewhere near campus. I know Cyberbum was thinking along the same lines. I'm still optimistic, I think they can do it!
  21. Ahh, come on! What's the worst that can happen? You're wrong? Optimism is the key my friend! So they don't win 6-3, I still drink beer and enjoy the games! And don't forget, Brandt has done very well against them. If a very depleted CC team can beat them at home..... I've seen CC play this year, they are not that good. Good for what they have, yes, but still. I really believe if they Sioux continue to play with the potential we all know they have, it will be high-scoring and we will win both nights.
  22. 35 hours and counting! I'm just a little excited. Being the optimistic person that I am, I am going to say that "The money line" is going to open up a can of whoop a$$ on Friday and the Sioux are going to win 6-2. Once Berkhoal (sp?) lets a couple in and get's the Sioux fired up it'll be downhill from there. Oh and we'll get a PP goal. Saturday will be closer, we win 3-2 with the last goal coming with 2 seconds left.
  23. It sounds like the only place it will be on TV is Denver, on Comcast (sp?). GO SIOUX!!
  24. I got tickets through Magness on Friday and through the alumni association for Saturday. I don't think we will have any problem being as loud if not louder than last year. I think a lot of the people going this year also went last year, including myself, and that goal with 2 seconds left is still in-grained in our mind! I'm really hoping for a couple of wins this weekend. It's more than likely my only chance to see the Sioux in conference play. Let's rock that joint!
