Call me crazy, but I don't see a parking problem on campus. Of course everything can be approved upon, but the only problem I see is parking close to campus. The New REA lot never seems to be overflowing. It seems a little far, but only in respect to other buildings and parking lots on campus, still easily within walking distance.

The only problem I saw when I was a student was the half empty A zone lots I walked by on my way to class from the student lots at the edge of campus.

Wouldn't parking closer to the center of campus (like my idea above, or behind the coffee shop) be better for campus?

They would just make it A zone
I can't see how this is mainly for student parking. In the four years I went to college I can count on one hand the number of times I used that lot.Seriously, if they plan on charging for event parking to help pay for the costs are there any proposed amounts? Would they be charging per vehicle in the lot or per person on the bus? If they plan to charge for parking for events it should be within short walking distance from events. There is all kinds of open space around REA.

Does anyone know the ramnifications of an American with a DUI their record and being allowed to travel into Canada? Seems to me that I heard that Canada has certain restrictions about allowing foreigners into their country who have this on their record.

I am sure the Edmonton organization will make sure Green will be playing in the AHL after UND's season without any problems. It's not like he's a tourist trying to get into the country he's a 2nd round draft pick on a Canadian team.

CC had the sweep before Tech - were the GOOFERS on the road last week or didn't play?? If that was back to back sweeps at Mariucci..I'd be curious to know the last time THAT happened??

Yah but they're counting the game against the Mavs at the X as a home game just so it isn't back to back sweeps.

* Actually he's a dual-citizen, US-Canada. Does that mean he has to stay between the blue lines, in the neutral zone?

Wouldn't it be ironic if the Sioux goal scoring drought continued next weekend against BSU. Could you imagine if Lane Sedivie (a kid we had commited and dropped) shut out the Sioux. He will be trying hard to gain respect. Nothing against the kid, but hopefully we can score 10 next week and get some confidence.

Mavs goalie has already given up 3 goals in the first 22 minutes. Why does it seem they are a brick wall when a goalie plays the Sioux but against any other team they're a sieve.

Don't know if this supports your claim, but it is interesting.
The three seasons Hakstol played for UND, the Sioux played 127 (69-51-7) games, of which Hakstol played in 107. Not sure what 20 games he sat out but one could assume most of them were during his freshmen season (UNDs best during Hakstols tenure 28-13-4 and the only year they qualified for the NCAAs)
The worst and only losing season was his final season 17-21-1 (Oh and he was the captain.)

She said they already have heard from scouts, one of whom said David has a chance to be a top-five pick "if Jonathan goes to the (WHL)." If Jonathan ends up at UND, she said, the scout told her David "would probably drop to the fifth round."

Sounds like little brother doesn't care about is draft ranking going from top 5 to 5th round. Maybe he already plans to become part of the SSM Pipeline.

I truly believe that ice condition only makes a major impact on cross ice passes and fancy stick work.

Soft crappy ice has a major effect on skaters with speed. Kinda like skating in concrete. The Sioux as a faster team are at a disadvantage if the ice is soft.

Hope the Ice crew at the Ralph wait until Sunday to repaint the logo and other advertising under the ice. I doubt they will have enough time before this weekends series. Soft crappy ice would only benefit the Mavs.

I don't know if it is just this radio station but I have never heard so much crowd noise at the new arena. It reminds me of broadcasts from the old arena and it sounds great!
