It's notI agree with this. The process won't take as long as some expect. Of course there will still be a number of people wearing Sioux stuff, but for many, it's about having the latest and greatest item, which means making the transition. Also, the freshmen this year and going forward will have no ties to the Sioux name other than the residual factor of it lingering around.
In other news, who knew that Minnesota football uses a Sioux indian phrase on their football jerseys?!

What happened to the old tv guys? It was nice to see a timer for the power play and I thought it was in HD now? I understand if that doesn't translate to Fox College Sports but just wondering.

oh yes. The defense was supposed to be a strength and yet has been a liability. The team takes way too many penalties and scores only 2-3 goals per game. They have their work cut out for them this weekend. Lots of areas of disappointment.Sandbagging for the dogs already? I can't see UND pull off a sweep with how their Saturday night effort has been. Not only that but as others have said...just don't see UMD dropping 4 games in a row.

We can't score and we play awful in Grand Forks. I'll be surprised if this was anything but a UND sweep.

Hehehehehee.Amen. Got some help from the officials and our bone headed penalties and we still almost beat them. All i can say is 7>1. They are even lucky to have that 1.

As to Brown's blatant cheap shot on Blood at the end of Friday's game (due to the fact Blood totally lit him up with a monster hit earlier in game), when one has a total disregard for another player's safety and uses the fact the game is basically over and he doesn't care if he gets tossed with 40+ seconds left, karma can be a _____!
Brown left Sat. game with an injury, didn't return and might be out awhile...hmmmmmmmmmmmm, funny how things work out sometimes.

While the seats look bad on tv, that was not how the rest of the arena was. It was a very full house

Don't get me started on the seats. Some are at the bar, some are up by the railing and others are just MIA. It is made worse by the stupid gold seats.I can't believe the reigning national champs at home against the leagues reigning champs and they can't fill the seats! I was excited when I first heard the dawgs were part of the NCHC but I don't know if they have it in their fan base to be in an elite league? Kind of a let down for me! I'm not a dawg fan, but I do want all the teams in the NCHC to seem like they have a rabid fan base, like UND of course!!

I did hear! Had four people tweet/text me that. I recorded the game so I'll have to watch that part later.Don't know if you heard but your twitter question was the "Question of the Week" or whatever they called it, I just caught a piece of it but it sounded like playing playoff games on campus maybe? They talked about it between periods for about 5 minutes.
I don't like the idea of giving a team home ice...but if it means less empty seats I think it will be a good thing.

We're not a top team anymore. The wheels seem to be falling off. You give us too much credit.If that is a top three team, then UND isn't too far behind because I think UND was the better team all night long.

There is one free spot, its below the DECC lobby and called the Blue Line Club. Its free and smells like cows are kept there.Heading over on Saturday. Is the "old DECC lobby" the same spot where they had beer at the DECC? If so, it was pretty hard work to get a beer during periods.
So there's two spots - the old DECC lobby and then the beer garden by the lake? Is one better than the other?

So many things: the fans, the number of titles (I want teams with less titles to win), recruiting (competing for recruits) and just something I don't like. Someone probably did steal my lunch moneyBiddy why all of the hate? None of us have taken your lunch money...
I am very excited for the games and a packed arena. I'll be on the outlook for UND pleather jackets!

I'm a minority but my hatred list is this: 1. UMTC 2. UND. 3. SCSU 4. BSUBy no means am I comparing UMD to any of the three like I said... We aren't even in the same "league" when it comes to the three. But it is a fact that we look at wisky as our biggest rival.
Wisconsin isn't really on my radar.

For UND players isn't that a normal weekend?Well, he did only get suspended for an exhibition game... that's such a harsh punishment you know, so he must have been given a break by opposing fanbases.

All kidding aside JT is a great player who made a dumb decision. I mean, cmon, the cops are going to know who you are. You won the MVP of the Frozen Four.

UMD's play-by-play guy Bruce Ciskie said on the radio tonight that UMD and SCSU will be designiated rivals in the NCHC. They will play home and home every year. I would assume UNO and UND, WMU-MIA and DU and CC for the others.
I wasn't sure if UMD and UND would be designed rivals or not...but the news from Bruce answers that question
