#haughty was for our Duluth friend who likes to troll this message board. I know it will be a tough tournament to win.

I'm actually feeling pretty #haughty about this weekend myself.

We don't have the same level of incentive that Duluth has; they are fighting for their playoff lives, while we are almost assured of getting a #1 seed someplace. But I do think our team is sick of hearing about the 1-3 all time Frozen Faceoff record and I think they will come out and treat this like any other game.

Yup. People tell your team they're 1-3 in the Frozen Faceoff?

Beating Duluth for a 5th straight time, at the stupid Target Center, in the afternoon. I just dont see it happening. Sooo hope I am wrong here.

It would be 6th straight time actually. I hope you're right.

Yes, I really don't like UMD and their style of game. Lots of blocking and tackling. I hope they get called on it and we make them pay with PP goals. And this is a UND message board. If fans from opposing teams want to come on here and trash talk, they are going to get it right back. I don't go onto other team's discussion forums and make smart remarks.

And I have no reason to call this team out; this is the most entertaining team we have had in several years.

    Teehee, you mad.

We'll cool his a$$ off, along with the rest of that team full of blockers and tacklers. We need to come out right away and set the pace and dare them to try and keep up with us.

Looks like somebody is getting a haughty after beating the two worst teams in the conference.

What's the story on Duluth - who woke up ? Their scary as hell

    Same with Denver

A few things; Kas is playing well, the team has realized they are not a scoring machine but need to score by committee, the defense has been outstanding and they are continuing to work hard. Hopefully this is the team figuring it out.

as for Denver, they've been one of the hottest teams in the country for a few months now.

Bigger question is what the hell happened to Omaha?

Meh, if I'm Duluth I'm more upset that we didn't threaten to score on the 2 minute minor handed to them at the beginning of the OT.  I'd also be upset that with a veteran team picked to win the conference, they are vastly underperforming.

Why would we be more upset with that? Our PP is worse than UND's, they weren't going to score.

It is mind boggling why UMD does not have a better record.  They played outstanding defense this weekend.  They kept UND out of the good shooting zones in front of the net all weekend, until Boeser's goal.  UND simply could not get the shooting positions they usually have.

Don't understand the back and forth talk on here about how "bad" UND and UMD look? Look like a tight, shut down D, total playoff type game to me. Not much fun for the fans, but par for the time of year, and for what's on the line.

UMD's record is baffling. I would sweat about DU, UMD, and CC if I was playing. In that order...

It was a tight defensive weekend, people think without offense it means teams are playing poorly. As for UMD...can't figure it out. They just can't score against teams not named CC and WMU in conference.

    Few things from this series:

How UMD is a below .500 team is baffling.

It's baffling how they can't score. With the players UMD has they should score way more, yet they don't. I really don't get it. They havent quit on their coach or teammates. They play hard and work hard but get nothing to show for it. It's very aggravating.

Sandy said before tonight's game though pretty much like "let's hope (or let) the players decide the outcome tonight".  You know, if you take out a guy who's coming in on a clear scoring chance and w/o any attempt at playing the puck then you're going to put in in the hands of the refs, whether they rule a penalty shot or penalty for 2 min power play.  To take it out of the hands of the ref then don't do that, okay. Cripes.

    That wasn't a penalty shot

Never seen it done by other teams but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen I suppose.

If she didn't digitally spar with Brad and tweet passive aggressive stuff to Goon I wouldn't know she existed.  I've had plenty of laughs at her delusions that people actually care about every inane thought she has so I'm okay with a few going the other way.

Can't tell if you're trolling or genuine, but no.  Banners, which every team hangs from the rafters, are not comparable to listing a lone national championship that is long in the rear view mirror on a piece of paper.  It's tacky and anyone capable of being objective (so likely not any Gopher fans) will agree.

P.S. Did you read Brad's Tweet that Duluth would have been 16th in the pairwise had they won?  Do us a favor and make sure dog-faced Donna puts that in her pipe and smokes it.

It's not uncommon for programs to put team accomplishments on their stat sheets. We have one national title and we list the year it occured. When we win another one the paper will be updated to say "Two Time National Championships". Don't understand why people get so annoyed that UMD lists the 2011 title and that five Hobey Baker Award winners have gone to school at UMD.

I didn't read Brad's tweet but not sure why you're obsessed with name calling another person online. She's not even posted on this website and you're calling her out? Doh'kay. If I even bother mentioning this post by you we're gonna laugh and laugh at the pettiness displayed.

I agree.   I was wondering how the heck UMD's record is not a whole lot better.   (Last night, anyway,) They play good team hockey, they possess the puck well, they force opponents well meaning they get it back, and they are generally tough to play against.   Before the game, I thought "goaltending!" must be their weakness but Kaskisuo was solid last night.   I'm totally perplexed.

All I know is I would rather play just about anyone else - ABD - in the playoffs.

Just can't score like you'd expect them too. It's the damnest thing. People keep saying they don't want to play us or they'll figure it out. Been waiting for them to figure it out since October. Don't see it happening.

Someone please tell duluth the statute of limitations on putting their national championship on their line chart expired when they were no longer the reigning champs.

Then take out your banners. same logic right?

IF UND doesn't sweep Duluth they will not win a National Championship.
