  1. Anybody gotten theirs yet? I know the first home game is still three weeks away, but I seem to recall usually receiving mine in the first part of August.

I've been wondering the same thing, I haven't gotten mine yet either.

  2. I agree 100%. The old Bison uniforms were classic, the new ones are hideous. It would almost kill me to see the Sioux go to a similar look. If they were to make any change at all, I'd prefer to see a retro style similar to what they wore in the late '70s/early '80s.

Sorry to disagree with you, but those retro style uniforms were the ugliest and most hideous looking things any Sioux team has ever worn.

  3. I agree that the Vikings might be in some serious trouble if BJ goes down....but the thing of it is that we KNOW it's going to happen, it's just a matter of when. Name the last year that we had our QB the entire season....we will wind up with our second stringer in there at some point this year, and let's pray to god that it's Jackson and not McMahon. (no offense JFR)

I agree......you know Johnson is not going to play the entire year, due to some injury.

  4. Hey! Yoda's holding up his middle finger! :D;)

Related to another thread.....shouldn't Yoda be wearing a helmet, I mean he is a jedi and likes to flip around and puts himself in dangerous situations all the time......a helmet could cut down on his chances of being seriously injured...... :D

  5. It sounds as if the Bruins will give Kessel every opportunity to prove himself. Maybe that's exactly what he needs. On the other hand, I could see it backfiring, too. Time will tell.

That is why I think he will be just fine....the Bruins are going to give him so much time and opportunity, because he is such a high draft pick and so highly touted

  6. Kessel to play on the 1st or 2nd line? Is Boston that thin offensively? He is a good player, but when I read 1st line, I couldn't really believe it. It takes any kids who make that jump a while to adjust.

  7. Despite the penchant for Gopher ripping (which this thread is basically on big Gopher bashing session anyways :D ), I am curious as to the legality behind these practice sessions. Does this mean that Hakstol could do the same for the Sioux? I thought there was some rule that the coaches couldn't be in on practice until a certain time?

It addresses the rules changes in that article. "Previously, coaches could work only with groups of four for up to two hours a week prior to the official start of practice."

  8. Does anyone know if there are any upcoming suspected varsity players that either played jv or bantams last year that will make any major contributions to their team?

I assume you are talking about high school hockey? Boys? Girls?

  9. Good golly...as exciting as it is to see the Sioux getting commitments from quality players, does this strike anyone else as sort of ridiculous? Three freakin' years before he gets here?

On a related note, Chase Allen L***, my grandson, has non-verbally committed to skate for the Sioux beginning in the 2025-26 school year. L*** is believed to be the first '06 to commit to any DI team. Sources close to the UND coaching and training staff had this to say in relation to the committment:

"We really like what we see in this young man: good hands, good vision, and a real nose for the net. We'll continue to monitor his progress as he proceeds through his development."

Another source said the Sioux staff hopes to be on hand early next year when L*** takes his first steps, and again when he is fitted for his first skates as a one-year-old.

Do you have a link? I won't believe this until it is "officially" confirmed.

  10. I think what part of their "Beef" is that the anonymity (sp?) of the posters. I have to agree that it is very hard sometimes to read opinions and bashings of various topics and not know of the credibility behind the remarks.

At least Tim and Swygg are not hiding behind some screen name, you know where their opinions come from.

I have posted of this site under two Names "Coachdags" and Now "The Walrus" because I recently sold my Bar....I believe most people know who I am and I am resposnible for what I say...

No Drive By Posting Here...and Jim by your screen name you must somewhat agree?

    Mike Delohery

We would not get some of the great info we get on this message board if people let others know their identity. Tim and Swygg are not in the same situation as posters on this board who are so called "hiding behind some screen name", because they don't get paid to comment on Sioux athletics, like Tim and Swygg do.
