I heard some of it. I would agree. When Kolpack, started telling a story about how some recruits father had called him because they wanted an objective look at the program, I just have to laugh at the self importance of a person like Kolpack. In a round about way he was basically taking credit for landing the kid. Yes, thank you Kolpack for reminding us how important you are to that program...then I turned it off.
Objective look at the program???
Did little Jeffrey invite the dad to the annual ndsu homecoming party he hosts at his house every year???

Apparently Berry was at the signing day party. Says a lot about the kind of guy Berry is.
I think both football & hockey staffs think pretty highly of each other. I remember Hakstol saying how great it was to have a great man like Bubba Schweigert back on campus at one of the Champions Club golf events the summer after Bubba was hired.

Anyone notice the surprises today? Yeah me neither. I remember always being on pins and needles on this day with Mussman because it always seemed like 3-4 guys never showed up. Bubba Maurice and crew have it figured out and guys are buying in.
And then 3-4 more never showed up for fall camp...
so much difference between staffs.

Wow, MT St just signed a 4 star QB out of Arizona. It would be nice for UND to go after a high caliber guy like that next year.
Wow, he must be a 10,000% warrior, just like Prukop

If we've got 17 in and are expecting 4 PWO's, who are we still missing of the 24-25 expected?
I believe they are all in. Murray & T. Hunt signed earlier being they were a Juco transfer & prep school transfer.
Just waiting on PWOs in Marler & Rastas.

Devan Hunt did accept his PWO

So waiting on Dre, Cloyd, Russo and Turner, apart from the PWOs?
Freund mentioned on chat that there is 4 PWOs... Did we lose one? Devan Hunt take the scholly offer from Valpo?

There's actually 25 listed. The heading is off saying 4 PWO's, there is 5 with the addition of Rastas. The list matches SFI's list of 25 as well.
Ahhh, ok, just took a quick glance at it & saw "24"

Coach Gigli said in the live chat they expect 23 signees (scholly & PWO) today... That does not include Murray & T. Hunt. So, 25 total in the class. The wiki here lists 24... Could we see a surprise signee or pwo?

Yep, that is a very nice one to see!
Hoping to see Cloyd's fax come in soon...
Saw Omaha area schools were closed today... Could be a little delay in Cloyd getting in due to that... not sure.

I can't remember from previous years.... Are PWOs announced as they come in or are they all announced together at the end of the day?
-
Isaiah Secrest is in
-
Notice it listed Jake Geier as a Safety... Thought he was projected as a LB on here & other sites?

Damn, don't know I missed that but that is good. Good to beat out some hard charging rivals.
Lots of tweets from UND coaches last week referencing an #Omahawk (presumably Cloyd)
Just noticed that Alex Cloyd retweeted & favorited Jacob Matthew's de-commitment from SDSU note...

Per his twitter, Joe Markert visiting SDSU this weekend

Great to see the news on Cloyd. Although, I'll feel much better about it on Feb. 3rd. Think he'll be a great pass-catching TE in this offense.
If he does sign, I'd say UND fared pretty well on the recruiting trail against SDSU (Helgren, Holm & Cloyd)

Recruiting update from SFI.
They are stating that Alex Cloyd is still deciding between UND & SDSU.

Happy to see that Cloyd still appears committed to UND. Hopefully that sticks. Seem like someone put out some bad info on the switch.
4 hours ago, Sioux>Bison said:Let's hope his Twitter is still right! I just don't get the other tweets saying he committed to the jacks.
I noticed some of the recent people/accounts he's followed are Joel Schwenzfeier & Keaton Studsrud... Hopefully a good sign.

How did our FCOA factor into our offer vs the Jack's? I thought SDSU was only doing FCOA for BB, or am I wrong? Whatever it was it mustn't have been enough. Distance plus base scholly were most likely key.
What I've read/heard is that SDSU will be offering fcoa for football starting in '17. I have no idea what was offered by either school, but perhaps SDSU sold him on that he would be getting fcoa in years 2 - 5

Wow, Goofers are up to #7 in the USCHO polls this week!
..... oh that 7 isn't their ranking, just the number of votes they received? oh, sorry gopher fans. What the hell has happened you you guys? hahahah
Funny you should ask... This article just came out this morning. Great read

From Tom Miller...
Craig Haley of STATS has UND ranked #12 in really, really early pre-season 2016 FCS poll...

A good physical comparison for Ratelle would be Chris Borland, the former tackling-machine from Wisconsin, who famously retired after 1 year in the NFL due to health/concussion concerns. Borland was an under-sized ILB drafted in the 3rd round by the 49ers & played his way into a starting role his rookie year & had over 100 combined tackles in 1 NFL season. Borland was power 5/Big 10 stud vs Ratelle excelling in FCS, but Ratelle's pro day numbers are all much better than Borland's combine numbers. Not saying Ratelle should or will be a 3rd round pick (I believe he will go undrafted) but he definitely deserves a shot...
