Nice. Good to know that there are still good parents and smart kids out there.
FWIW, his dad is from Edinburgh ND & I believe he played HS hoops with Scott Guldseth. Not sure if his parents went to UND or not though

He shouldn't be a WR. But he should be split out wide a lot more. Quick WR screen to him with two blockers sounds nice. There are so many ways to get him out in space to use his moves and speed that we haven't done yet. Want to see him in the NFL? He needs to be a swiss army knife.
Bubble & tunnel screens with Stanley & Toivonen out in front of him. Wow.

Very solid pick-up. You can never have too much talent at RB, these guys take a beating. Add in the fact that he's a year behind Oliveira& Santiago and we lost our RB recruit from last years class and it is a great move for the next 3 years.

Doesn't mention Dijon Murray as a LB replacement. Plus, I don't even know who this McKinney is. May be here for spring ball????
Anyone have anything about the Grady Train?
Murray had a season-ending injury that required surgery. Doubt he is very far up on the depth chart at this point. McKinney is a current HS verbal commit (RB/WR) out of Seattle. Some connected posters here & SFI have mentioned that Grady is probably not an option to be back.

I would like to see Oliveria get more carries next year...A little bit more of Santiago out wide...
John Santiago had 9 (yes, NINE) catches in 2016. This needs to change in 2017.

Not really that far fetched that they give the #1 seed firs shot at start time and then give consideration to the rest based on ranking. As the #7, I am sure we didn't have much choice. I doubt that Faison submitted a 5pm start time knowing it would conflict with the hockey game.
But... #8 seed SDSU was given a 2pm start time. Of course, they could've been given an earlier start time based on being an outdoor game in a colder climate. I would hope, if given the choice, that Faison would've chosen the 2:00 start over the 5:00 on a day where UND plays a hockey game with such high interest. You would think the NCAA wouldn't want a home UND football game conflicting with our hockey game just based on attendance $.
Like most NCAA matters, these start times are clear as mud.

No recruiting weekend for UND. It is illegal to host a recruiting weekend during the playoffs. So that only leaves next weekend (10th) to host one before Xmas break. Since we think UND is going to win they won’t be hosting a recruiting weekend until January.
From the SFI blog... no hosting recruits during playoffs. http://siouxfb.areavoices.com/2016/11/30/a-few-thoughts-richmond-week/

Apparently nodak nation has a ticket office in the union, so I could just take the $ pledged there and let them hand out tickets. I think they handed out the previous tickets. PM me with you donation amounts and I'll get it there tomorrow (along with my donation)
Or anyone interested in donating could just call the student ticket office themselves... less hassle for you.
If the football fans on here could each donate $25, $50, $100 or more (whatever amount you are comfortable with) that student section could be filled up pretty fast.

Would anyone living in or near GF be willing to get together, pick up more student tickets, and hand them out Wednesday somewhere on campus (wilkerson, union, etc ???). Maybe others out of town would be willing to donate 10 or 20 bucks to pay for the tickets. I could do this through a PayPal account if several are interested. I'll be out of town Thursday and Fri so could only help Wed, but maybe others could cover the last 2 days before the game.
I'm guessing you could just call the student ticket office to set up the donation & they would handle the distribution of tickets.
I have been thinking about doing the same & putting in a donation for student tickets.

No doubt. Surprised WIU & UNI were snubbed.

Absolutely. It's one non-conference game. Sure, in an awesome venue, but watching it on tv makes no difference if it's in MSG or Purpur. This weekends series against St. Cloud has more impact on the hockey season than one non-conference game.
First FCS playoff game in UND history trumps any non-conference, beginning of December hockey game.

Craig Haley/STATS projected bracket released last night... UND #8, facing Villanova - St. Francis winner.

All I know about Villanova is they have a great basketball program & Howie Long played football there. All I know about St. Francis is that they must be really $h!tty this year cuz they lost to Montana.

SFI just tweeted this article out... Supposedly less regionalization & will put conference teams in different bracket sides this year.
QuoteWhile the NCAA Division I FCS selection committee will make the pairings regional when possible, beginning this year, conferences with four or more competing teams will be split over both sides of the bracket

Yeah- when I saw the "offensive weapon" tweet from UND FB recruiting i was hoping it was him so I checked out Griebel's twitter & he had just posted his commitment. He had quite a few other offers too & Montana State was at his house last week (I believe his brother plays or did play there).
This is a big commitment.
