Its been pretty quiet out here. Any new rumors or info on potential transfers or late commits?

The RB and QB were my two that I really wanted signed.
Does anyone with more knowledge think Kaminski could jump Feeney in the depth chart? Not concerned about next year, but possibly the following year depending on what Schuster decides to do. I like the direction the offense is going. If they can keep it up and the offense can match, there is some potential here. Still bummed with how our season ended, but as always, looking forward to next season!

This one could be interesting to see how he develops. Sounds like he has only played football since 2020. Very good size, also plays basketball so he hopefully has good feet. Hopefully Pawluk can coach him up into an All Conference type of guy.

Coley transfers to Murray State. That was his best offer. I think it was agreed on here that him entering the portal was most likely mutual. Like the others at his position, he had a really rough year overall. I did have really high hopes for him following his sophomore campaign.
I really hope that safety room is being closely evaluated this winter. If a STARTER's best offer is Murray State, nothing more needs to be said about their performance as a group last year.
Best of luck to him at Murray State!
The part I find interesting is if Coley isn't good enough to play next year so we make the nudge or the mutual agreement for the portal, then why didn't we put some of our younger guys out and give them some playing time this year? Do we think they will make that big of a jump by next Fall to be better than where Coley was? Or do we really think we will pull in some portal guys? We did that with Buchner last year, and he didn't exactly shine. Maybe he will be better after a year in the system.

Hoping to see some more FBS offers by UND soon!

...FBS, FCS, D2 or Juco standouts. I don't care as long as they can play and fill some of the gaps we have on this team.

This Deion situation bring up an interesting discussion. Deion may have the ability to bring in a massive amount of transfers with his personality and name recognition. Hypothetically, if Deion brings in a whole new team of transfers with very few players remaining from the previous year, and wins, how would the fan base view that team?
Nothing wrong with transfers, moving forward I think it’s an integral part of a college teams recruiting plan. But where’s the line in a situation like Deion and Colorado find themselves in? How many starters get replaced before a fan base would start to feel like this is no longer their team? Is there a line? I don’t know.
I would say it all depends on how they perform on the field. Winning solves a lot of problems. So if he brings in a ton of new players and it works, then I don't think fans are going to really care all that much.

I'm not advocating for UND to pull a Petrino, but they truly need to utilize the portal in several areas and HIT on their offers if they want to rebuild this defense by next year. Probably not going to be a top D nationally but need to be more competent than we were this year to give us a chance. I just hope they are taking it seriously rather than rolling with what we have, especially with our front 7.
I could see the secondary improving, though I think a lot of this is scheme as much as skill. Interested to see how Dixon fits into the mix. and if Bishop could step up and take some reps. Would rather see these guys play more man than zone.
Safety ... any help available???

My number one issue with how we recruit is there isn't any balance. It's like we can only focus on a couple positions and improve them while neglecting others.
This!

We start with it in the 3rd, right?

Why don’t we just kick it out of bounds?
Penalty or not, that is a stupid call. Don’t kick it to that guy.

The entire staff HAS EARNED being fired. This is an embarrassment to the program.
Yeah, I’m not even high on Danny when I look at our big games. But of all people he has shown competence.

Apparently this team shouldn’t have either.
You’re right, Hockey might now, but they have a ton of season left to fix it.

Potential NIT Style Post Season Hockey Tourney
in Men's Hockey
Posted
If there was a tourney, would UND participate?
Yes. How can anyone who knows anything about hockey not find value in additional games/tourney experience.
Should UND participate?
Yes. While it would be somewhat embarrassing for a program like UND to participate in the Not Invited Tourney/Backup Tourney/Whatever you want to call it, is it any less embarrassing than missing the tourney altogether?
The questions not in the poll. Should there be a tourney?
No. I don't think college hockey is deep enough to really support more than one tourney. Lets focus on fixing the regional situation so the teams who earned a spot aren't playing in empty arenas.
If there was an argument to be made: It would give Omaha another opportunity for a participation banner.
