Dave - we get it already. In your world it's I-AA not FCS, anyone that wants the nickname gone is a horrible person, once the nickname is dropped we have to start over counting championships, fighting in hockey is reserved for punks, Cooke is not a dirty player, NDSU=Bad but Gophers=OK...and that's fine as you've made it so adamantly clear that no one will be able to change your mind on anything but do you have to get into a message board argument over everything. (I know this thread wasn't derailed by you but there's no doubt in my mind that you've PURPOSELY added to it by throwing out the I-AA line a couple of pages back knowing it would get a rise out of people) But who knows, maybe you do this on purpose to get a rise out of people because it seems that every thread you're invovled in turns into the same thing.

If it's not at the X I also think Omaha would be a top choice. I've never been to Omaha for a hockey game but hopefully the outdoor game in 2013 happens so I can head down there from Fargo to see if hockey in Omaha would be as fun as I think it could be.

Did you buy the tournament package? As of this morning it looks like I could get lower bowl seats at the top of section 109 if I buy the tournament package but I still can't purchase single day tickets using the interactive seat finder tool. So, based on my searches, it is possible to get some seats in the lower bowl still (provided that you buy the tournament package) but there are no where near as many available as it looks like on Ticketmaster.

Has anyone tried actually purchasing one of the lower bowl tickets shown as available using the interactive seat finder tool on Ticketmaster? I tried 6 or 7 sets of two seats and none of them are actually available. Using the 'find me a seat' tool on ticketmaster the best seat that comes up in the upper bowl. When I did try for the best available for the two day session it gave me two seats in section 109 row P which is where the students would sit for a normal game. I'm curious to know if anyone has gotten lower bowl tickets in the past few days.

FYI for anyone living in Fargo with cableone the game is on channel 70.

I believe Cable One just switched the FSSN channel in Fargo over the weekend or very recently. Channel 44 used to show the FSSN only when games were about to be shown. The rest of the time channel 44 was for infomercials. Now, channel 70 appears to be solely dedicated to the FSSN. (when I had it on it was showing the inside of Ralph Engelstad Arena with the lights off)

I was listening to the segment live while working (Fargo) so I can't recall the conversation word for word but DrunkHockeyGuy told PA and Cardinal what happened to Kristo (think, most common rumor thrown around by Gopher/Bison/Anti-Sioux fans), PA got upset over it and ended the phone call shortly their after. PA and Cardinal talked a little more about it, Cardinal said Kristo sat down with Schloss and explained what happened, Cardinal said he's heard different stories from different people and that the truth may never come out and they left it at that. PA did made it well known a couple of times that he was upset about it and made sure the producer would edit it out of the podcast. It was a little upsetting to hear it on the radio but it was pretty easy to hear that PA was pissed, (he even said he was "pissed off") Other than that I like the segment every Thursday. It's nice to hear some hockey on the radio in between the NFL lockout and NBA Basketball. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I don't see any reason to re-hash the issue by bringing up what the guy said)

I'm going to preface this by saying I have only been following UND athletics 'regularly' for about 3 years so I don't know what happened immediately after we were placed on the NCAA list but from my perspective Kelley and Faison are getting blamed far too much for UND losing the nickname or as some want to say,"not fighting for it enough". After 5 minutes of research this is what I've found. Announcement of NCAA Ban's Native American Imagery beginning on Feb. 1st, 2006 - August 2005 Florida State, Central Michigan, Utah all removed from list - LESS THAN ONE MONTH LATER - August/Sept 2005 Dr. Kelley and Faison hired at UND - 2008 What prevented UND from doing the same and getting approval at the beginning? If saying that Ron His Horse is Thunder would have prevented it back then, well, it's been 5+ years and it's still no different and he's no longer there. I'm 100% in favor of UND keeping the Fighting Sioux nickname and logo, I've gone ahead purchased a couple hundred dollars worth of clothing in the last few months because it's by far the best logo in sports, but when you're part of an organization (NCAA) which is voluntary and you're relying on written approval from two seperate entities (Standing Rock and Spirit Lake) that are COMPLETELY out of your control, what are you supposed to do? I wish the Standing Rock tribal members would have been allowed to vote on it but neither you, I, Kelley, Faison, etc, etc, etc are able to make them. The day the settlement was reached was the day the logo was gone, like it or not but Standing Rock was going to just sit back and wait for this past November to drift by. The other thought I've also always asked myself. If UND does get approval from both tribes how long will it be until one of the two tribes decides the don't like it. 5, 10, 15years? If it were to ever play out like that, what do you think the NCAA would say. "Don't worry UND, they gave you approval back in 20**, we don't care what you have as your name and logo". It's the NCAA's ball, court, stadium, etc, we're just offered the opportunity to be part of it. That's my $.02.....rip away as needed.
