  1. Tons, like thousands? Well then what is he talking about. Giving more opportunities, more programs?
  2. Doesn't it seem a bit "forced" to try and make diversity happen? We live in North Dakota where it is mostly all white people. How hard would he need to work and how many resources would have to be used to create more diversity just for the sake of creating it?
  3. There is a second public meeting tomorrow at 11:30am at Union. Hopefully, everyone within a 3,000 mile radius will be there. That is IF you care about the logo at all.
  4. And save your members super long flights to Idaho.
  5. Suspended for the rest of the season.
  6. I just found this on Twitter. Seems to fall in line with what has been speculated around here.
  7. ...and now you're worried about the NCAA getting involved with Title IX issues at NDSU? That's rich. Just remember, when FCOA is implemented NDSU will be giving male athletes about 20% more of the pot.
  8. He is talking about Title IX, Simple Dan. How NDSU values male athletes more than females. Is this a bit, SD? Please tell me it is.
  9. He hasn't impressed much lately at all.
  10. Simple Dan never disappoints.

So he is comparing Joe to them. Got it.

Are you comparing Mollberg to Wentz and Hackenberg?
  13. NDSU offers five less sports, not a good arguing piece for you. I guess UND needs to drop some sports and provide less opportunities like NDSU does. Then, shift about 25% more of their scholarships to the Men's side and everything will be even.
  14. Right. They were forced to move down. They fought it tooth and nail and didn't politic for it.
  15. Same reason why Valley City, St. Marys, Shanley, Beulah, Wahpeton, and so forth were "too small" to compete with the AAA schools in football. So they move down and manhandle every AA team. Gee, that's fair to those teams that are legitimately small towns. All about winning by having every advantage possible. Upsets be damned. Now the bottom AA teams should say they are too small to compete with VC and Shanley and then go beat the hell out of A teams. And trickle it on down...
  16. He just got a preferred walk on from Texas Tech.

You need to look into things a bit more. "Quitting on the team" is leaving them during the season. He waited out the semester and then went home at Christmas break. Plus, the reason why is more than enough reason to "quit on the team".
  18. To add to that, the 'A' Boys tournament should be in Bismarck every year or every other year, too. Anyone who has been to the WDA when BHS, Mandan, St. Marys and Century are involved would agree. Now add Legacy to that mix.
  19. They had to pass to somebody eventually, plus they scored a good amount of points. Doesn't mean the players weren't a bit selfish and didn't go 1 on 3 alot. If you can't see the difference between how this team plays and how those teams played then we can't help you. It's quite obvious.

You stated this also: "Doesn't seem like Bubba would put up with not putting the work in to just show up and play. Definitely wouldn't want to set that precedent". The situation is far different than that. Letting him come back to the team would be a 100% positive for all parties involved. This isn't like another local college team who had their player quit the team mid-season, air his laundry in the paper, but then allow him to come back only weeks later. THAT would be a bad precedent to set.

So the kid should be shunned for the rest of his career because he did the right thing at the time? Career over after 1 semester due to going back and being with his baby when he was obviously needed?

Do you know WHY he went back to New Town? The situation certainly is unique and one that most coaches would work with.
  23. Thanks for swing by. We all appreciate it.
  24. I am sure both basketballs run in the red, most all collegiate programs do.
