Two huge pipes, two pucks lying in the crease a 5x3 in OT and a goalie playing out of his mind and you get a loss. We didn't play well, but we absolutely dominated the second half of the second and all of the third. Other than a 10 min span in the first and early second, we were the better team. Omaha brought their best game and needed a 5x3 winner in OT. We're better than them and I'm not gonna be shy to say it. Gonna see a FIRED UP team tomorrow. Step on the throat. Throttle this team. I'm calling blow out tomorrow, 6-1 UND.

Does this years('14-'15) forward group deserve more credit?

Absolutely! I love our PK. So good at denying space and we win LOADS of those end board battles and are good at getting rid of the puck. Only a couple times this year have we lost those. Our forwards are great at the point on the PK and have a big time knack for putting away shorties on turnovers. -
They've never won a title in any league, lead the league by one point with 10 or so games to go and hosting the team that's chasing you and happens to be No. 1 in the country. Yes, this is a big-time series. To get to those big points, you have to win games like this and they know this. I said this on my blog. I don't think the young guys on UNO have ever played in a truly pressure series. This is a truly pressure series. Our vets have been there done that. I love our chances this weekend.

It might be overconfidence in my team, but I just feel like we see a determined Sioux team this weekend.

A +90 is a good thing and I'm of the opinion that our shots are more quality than quantity. We've certainly had a couple games... NU and LSSU come to mind... where we've had huge advantage so that doesn't tell the whole story, IMO. My point is that I don't think UNO wants to play a game with our D and goaltending where we put up 30 shots
-
That's a fair comment. We definitely CAN be a little too cute, but when we get to work and grind, that's when we are at our best. But UND is a +90 in shots this year. Omaha is -110... huge discrepancy. I don't think they can let us outshoot them big and expect to win games, this weekend. I just see weekends like Alabama-Huntsville, New Hampshire and CC and I am not 100% sold on UNO. Sure, UND lost to BSU, struggled one night with LSSU and AF, but the thing is, we WON those games. Obviously Omaha could run us out of Dodge and I'd shut my mouth, but I'm confident UND is the better team this weekend.

Going through stats a little bit (yes, I know stats aren't everything) for my blog and I think this UNO team may be slightly overrated. They're ok offensively at 15th in the nation, 3.04 GPG, average defensively 26th 2.46 allowed and below average special teams. Great goaltending despite a 30 shots per game allowed. Don't get me wrong, I think UNO is good. I really do. But, they are relying on a young group that hasn't played in the bright lights of a huge series. Can this young group keep playing like vets? Giving up 30 shots to UND this weekend would be a mistake. On the other hand.... our vets are playing like vets, right now.

DDC's Roses and Thorns from this past weekend's series against CC with a shoutout to this weekend. http://daddydumpandchase.blogspot.com/2015/01/roses-and-thorns-taking-care-of-business.html

Yeah, I'm all done with it. Since again, I haven't done it for nearly half a decade lol.

Hey guys... backk on tpics

I would absolutely do that if this were four years ago when I still bartended. Again, add another piece to the schtick. You're a child. Not sure why bartending is a bad thing, anyway as you're implying.

Sure don't. Just the stupid stuff. Oh wait....

I think you misspelled Dino, gf. It's much more plausible that you'd be friends with a large, cartoon dinosaur than Dean Blais.
