But maybe if they draft him, Hak will just keep telling him to stay at UND lol.

Wow. -
Exactly. Can any of you make a really hard argument against any of the six? I certainly can't.

Yeah, I can see that. That being said, that kind of talk doesn't come off being very captain-like, IMO. I hope that wasn't the case. All things aside, I think all of them deserve the recognition. All I those 6 clearly love this program and have put in the time here to get the distinction of going down in history as a player to have worn a letter at UND. All well deserved. -

Can't tell if this is sarcasm with the ellipses added on the end, but this is actually what I thought lol. -

It'd be like rewarding them because they're leaving the program early. Is it the thought ... "Well, they've been great for us, so we better give them this now, in case they are gone."? I don't buy that. I think it's just because they are great leaders and players. -

That's why I am asking why he believes that. I want to know why getting a letter is an indication he's leaving. I think LaDue and Stecher could have definitely left and been successful and could very well see them doing it after this coming season, I just want to know what he thinks the connection is. Not arguing whatsoever, just trying to understand. -
All of mine are in there in some shape or form. Whiffed on Gage being a "wild card" though lol

They are two of the best leaders on the team and got As because they deserved them. I don't see the connection. Are you suggesting it's some sort of a bargaining chip by the team to get them to stay, or what? -

I guess. But the way I see it, you earned the letter, you wear the letter and I'd be surprised to see them rotate. I know a lot of NHL teams rotate the letters due to injuries, at times. I do think 6 is probably too many, but I don't think it's ridiculous. I see it as leadership depth. -

You think so? Why's that? Not being sarcastic, I'm actually just curious. Or maybe they all deserve it? Which I think they do. -

Per Schlossman on Twitter: "Five players will wear As for UND next season: Drake Caggiula, Bryn Chyzyk, Colten St. Clair, Paul LaDue and Troy Stecher." I love this. Good stuff. All deserving. -

Thank you. I'm sick of hearing "we play a dump and chase offense". -
We gotta get these kids. C'mon Bubs and Jacks. Get it done!! Anyone else got a good feeling about this? I feel like them being at Penticton is a great sign.

I've heard that several times over the last year and a half. But, who knows?

Well, scorers will determine that. Haven't had a lot of pure scoring touch the last couple of years. I hope Boeser, Gersich and Wilkie will take care of that. If we can get guys to bury the puck, we can do a lot with our speed. Defensively, I see no reason we take a step back. -

Agreed. Tomek will get his shot and if he runs with it, great. -

Agreed. Having a very, very veteran and dynamic D corps will also help. There will be a drop off. Zane is NHL ready, IMO and Tomek is a going to take his bumps adjusting to a new level. But, I do agree we'll be fine. Reminds me a lot of Zane/Clarke when Dell left early. -

Ahhhh... I think they refer to them as freshmen and not incoming freshmen when they announce. But yes, not gonna lie, knowing this class coming in has the tools to be pretty special, I'll take anything I can get!! Ha -

I'd imagine both make it. -
I saw him, for sure, wearing a letter his senior year. This year, I had him as a wildcard to wear an A. I thought for sure it was going to be Stecher with the C. That being said, I'm completely fine with Gage wearing the C. His play was unreal, this past year.

I'm sad... So much garbage nickname stuff for so long, I figured this news might give us something positive to talk about. Buncha Debbie Downers around here. Lol
