  1. Yup. Subway classic. I was at the game (with someone we know :D) and he woke up the next morning and said, all hungover, "Welp, at least the Sioux won last night." And I looked at him puzzled and said, "Dude, are you kidding? We tied 5-5." In his defense, this was back in the day of 32oz beers at the REA hahahaha. We were very busy that night.
  2. So, what's worse? Saying we're "better" than a fun conversation about picking on our current competition or knocking our current competition? Big, bad UND shouldn't bother with having fun, huh? C'mon! It's all in fun, yzer. Other fan bases certainly have no problems ripping us.
  3. I put them in the same breath as Omaha. I don't like them because for some reason they've developed a tremendous chip on their shoulder but have virtually nothing to show for it. Win some titles, then check back in with me, will ya?
  4. Goonie, would you say that rest of the way will be a ..... meat grinder?....
  5. I certainly think it is. Maybe not against Miami, but sometime. He's inching past Rinks, now. Gotta start somewhere.
  6. 100% agree. We play like we did this past weekend, we are going to be tough to be no matter who we play. Period. Just so good for the entire weekend in EVERY facet.
  7. Definitely agree with this.
  8. Hard? I'm not sure I'd call it hard. He can shoot, but it's not Boeser, Fratts, Kozek-like. He gets most of his goals from effort and tremendous hard work, it's as simple as that.
  9. We'll be right there in contention for Chicago if we play like we did this past weekend. I've said it to a couple people, but, two weekends ago the entire college hockey world looked up and saw us beat Union in NY. Then, they saw we got Jost and Boeser back. Then, they all just saw us pummel a conference foe and a TUC 16-4. Anyone hear that loud, collective... "uh oh"?
  10. Not sure it's a realistic expectation for a kid to become a shooter. Shane doesn't have a blistering wrister and it can improve, yes, but it's hard to just become a shooter. He relies on his quick feet and instinct to guess where he needs to be an buries his chances.
  11. Why? This is how Gersh scores. They all count for one.
  12. Definitely has the skill and he has a knack for being in the right place. Kid is always around the net and that's why he's been so dynamite this year.
  13. Not big enough, yet. Still gets knocked off the puck too easily. I'd be very, very surprised to see him leave after this year. Less after his junior year, but I'd bet he's a four year guy.
  14. I love how he talks like Omaha is such a crazy, exciting city. I've been there. It's meh lol. Good city, but it's certainly nothing I'd stay long for haha.
  15. LOL did that guy really just come on here, take a shot at us on OUR board and then get whiny and defensive when we took shots back? Some people's kids, I'll tell ya....
  16. 100% agree. That effort and grit that the boys showed in Schenectady coupled with the return of Boeser from injury and Jost from the WJC.... it's on. Feeling good.
  17. Best of 5 was tied, then it was sudden death from there. Went to the 8th round.
  18. WOW.... If you didn't get a chance to watch that game, find a way to watch that game. US wins in SO in round 8 when DU's Troy Terry scores twice times in the last two rounds for the win. Shades of TJ Socchi. US to the Gold Medal Game. Insane stuff.
  19. Having gone to UND and attended many a hockey party, I'd say the bunnies are just fine and MUCH less expensive to keep happy
  20. Alright man. Agree to disagree. Yeah, so, go ahead and stick with "right" when you're not actually sure you are lol.
  21. Sure, but it'd be weird for USA Hockey to make it a rule if it's not a rule in IIHF, right?
  22. And like I said, I'd assume it's similar since USA Hockey plays in IIHF tournaments.
