  1. It appears there are some coding issues on this site..... Bit of a problem with overlapping text. Made navigation a little difficult, but it looks like a great site. Nice to see the Wild have a few prospects in there.

Thanks for noticing. I've seen Caig with guys draped all over him still fighting to stay on his skates. There are certainly no Peter Forsbergs on this team!

Because I like my seat at the X. 1/2 way up the lower bowl, on the red line aisle. Used to sit right across the aisle from Mike Sertich, but he's moved down a bit in recent years.

Very impressive! I like the 12 days of x-mas take-offs!!

While I'll agree that the Dogs have played poorly over their last 4 WCHA conference games...they are 5-1-1 in their last 7 overall, so to say they've been losing lately is a bit of a stretch. This won't be a make-or-break weekend for the Dogs, but seeing as how they play only one game (vs. HC Riga, Latvia) the rest of this year, it will affect the cheerfulness of the holidays and the amount of positive momentum carried into the second half of the season. We still have not played Denver, CC, or Wisco yet this year...so some tough tests lie ahead for the Dogs. We may find out if this team is for real or not this weekend, but a sweep by the Sioux would likely drop the Dogs to 4th (Wisco has MSU-M coming to town...sweep) and ruin the hot start put together by this team. I'm hoping to see a Dogs team this weekend that plays hard for 120 minutes, and works hard to protect the lead they established early in the season, which now seems to be slipping slowly away. While I can still feel good that the Dogs are in second place, the Sioux do have 4 games in-hand, and are only 4 points behind. A gap that could easily close to nothing by the end of this weekend. The first few shifts Friday night will be the key. If the Dogs come out as flat as they did against Tech Friday night...it's going to be a long weekend!
  6. Dogs lose. 6-5. This will really hurt come selection time. Good luck the rest of the way vs. U-18. I'm going to go stew.
  7. Hambly scores!! 6-5. 31 secs left.
  8. Reich was pulled after the first period. The 4 goals were not really his fault though. Dogs came out flatter than an abyssal plain. For those of you who are not geology majors.....abyssal plains are the flattest land features on earth. Located deep under the ocean, they have less that 1 meter of elevation change for every 1000 meters of width.
  9. Yale 5, PRI 4 Final UNH 3, Clarkson 1 3rd Anderson for Duluth suspended. He left the bench to get into the fight.
  10. BIG brawl happening now. Satuffacher was punched, then all hell broke loose. I would imagine suspensions will come out of this. 1:37 to go. 6-4 Tech.
  11. If the Dogs play this way at REA it's going to be a 25-0 affair.
  12. Yes, the Dogs are on the road (To last place).
  13. Dogs got one man back, but Tech scores. 6-4. 6:45 to go. I was at Mariucci when UM played Tech and shut them out. This is a completely different team.
  14. Bulldogs 2 men down. Sheppard is ref tonight.
  15. Miskovich scores!! 5-4. What a wild game! 14:31 to go.
  16. MTU scores. Marek Dora. 5-3 Huskies early 3rd, goal was scored on PP.
  17. Tech certainly has more offensive threats than the typical last-place team
  18. Dogs are struggling vs. Michigan Tech. They've turned it on in the second, but still trail 4-3 after 2 periods. Tech had their best first period in 10 years!
  19. Bulldogs started out terribly. They were down 4-0 after the 1st. Score is now 4-3 though. 3rd goal was knocked out of the air.....and on the follow-through the UMD player bashed the goalie in the face! 10:02 left in 2nd.
  20. I would guess Taylor.....but it's just that, a guess.
  21. I have a feeling he will still be the leader after the Dec. 12th-13th weekend. Too bad Bo's goals against the U-18 won't count. I have a feeling there will be a lot of scoring going on.
  22. What about "The Lamplighters" I think that would be a good name for a scoring line! Too bad the Dogs don't really have one... Lessard (12-9-21, Leading WCHA scorer) is a one-man scoring line!
  23. What does this have to do with the hockey that will be played this weekend?? This is definitely a litmus test for the Dogs. Where are we as compared to where we were at the end of last season?
  24. This is going to be a BIG series for both teams. Dogs "tune up" this weekend against their "archrival" Michagan Tech. Lessard is WCHA leading scorer, and Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season. If the Dogs play as inconsistently as they did last weekend against MSU-M, I'm going to loath posting on this board,as the Dogs will be killed. Hopefully they will be up for 120 minutes of hard-nosed, physical hockey. They showed great toughness and physicality for portions of the Mankato series, but at times looked like they had the cruise-control on...especially Sat. night after going up 4-0. This will either be a springboard to greater things for the Dogs...or another step in the wrong direction. St. Cloud is at CC, so hopefully the Tigers will show their fangs and keep SCSU from getting too far out in front. With a little luck the Dogs can be tied for first after this weekend with 2 games in hand over SCSU.
  25. #5 Michigan should be in for a nice tumble in this weeks rankings!! Always good to see!
