If UMD wins Friday,regardless of what the Sioux do, the celebrationwill be delayed until Sat. night. IF we tie, do they saw the thing in half, or have seperate ceremonies on seperate nights?

True. Luckily, we have a hookup. We usually go w/ Sioux and Goofer fans to a nearby hotel rrom between games and drink to our hearts content, then stagger back to the arena for the night games.

I'm sure I will be conspicuous enough without being encircled by green-clad monsters!! I look forward to meeting you guys. Don't give me too much grief, as I may have the wife along...

I probably already owe her for the weekend in Duluth...although, she does claim to be a Dogs fan. I'm sure I can make it there one night...most likely Saturday.

Right. If both win, the Cup could still be split between UMD and UND. If UND gets 2 points, they will get the #1 seed on tiebreakers.

Cool. Which of the fans on this board are usually there? I will try to make it down there one night. Not sure which. I usually have a chatroom going with my Dad (Mpls), sis (illinois), and gramps (Florida), but my Dad and sis will be AT THE GAME!! Yes, they are going into enemy territory to cheer on the Dogs, so i think i should as well.

How would they get the Wisco/UMd game?? If they did get it, I would be there!! I want to meet some of you guys in person! Sioux fans are a fun bunch!!

Yup, I used to get pulled out of school (my Dad would write a note with some fake excuse)...as young as 8 or 9 to go over to St. Paul and watch WCHA Hockey!! My Dad is awesome!!

I am usually just sitting by the computer...but at the Final Five I let my Dad drive, so I can get smashed!! We have been going together for 14 years...I remember getting out of school on Friday afternoon starting in grade school to go down to the Civic Center.

I bet they would make an exception if the Goofers were in it. But they would only be in that game if the FF were in another arena...

And I'm sure you don't stop there...I have at least one per period!

Why would a semifinal not be on TV, but the play-in is?? Simply because the Goofers will be in the play in? Or because not enough people will watch hockey at 2 in the afternoon on a work-day (those that will are probably at the game anyway)?

Thus perpetuating Gopher cockiness?? Please! I would much rather see the Sioux and UMD than the Gophs.

Our early-season losses against Bemidji State (split, won second game 12-0), Notre Dame (0-1-1), and RPI (split), along with a late-season loss to Tech at home, outweighed our late-season defeats of North Dakota (2-0-1 last year), Minnesota (split), and St. Cloud (4-3 last year). There will never be a perfect formula. At least now it's consistent.

I stand corrected. BTW, game three of that series was the last time UMD was shut out. (4-0) 118-or-so games ago.

1. They made me very proud last year. Everyone in the section around me was commenting on our conditioning, and heart. 2. Playing in the afternoon semi would be a godsend. If they can win it, they will have more rest for the Final.

The only people that thought the Sioux were underdogs, were the Sioux. Just because they were not #1 anymore does not mean that a #3 is an underdog against a #4, regardless of the winning streak.

If I'm a Tech player, I would be fired up! It's not impossible to win 2 in GF. UMD nearly did it in 2000 (won game one, led in game 2 until late in the second) when they were a ten seed.

I've gone to ALL games for the past 14 years, regardless of whether the Dogs were in it. For me, it's about tradition and watching the best hockey on the planet. WCHA Hockey!!!

Heh...uh, yeah...that would be UNREASONABLE, now wouldn't it...
