With a rooftop antenna I can get a couple "other" digital channels from WDAZ, do they, will they, put up FSSN so us in the area that can't get cable tv or Fox College Sports (or have the knowledge to put up and point the FTA satellite that has been in the garage for several year) get the Sioux games?

also been watching the Duluth - Wisc game on Directv 642, same thing Best Damn Sports Show........Sonsabitches

WDAZ said the investigation continues but if Oshie has been charged, shouldn't there be a filed Criminal Compliant telling the story of what brought the charge?

A friend said it sounded like there was a technical issue at the end of Saturday's broadcast. Signal was cut off and then after a song it sounded like the announcers called in on a phone and did a quick post game.

I listened to all of the game Friday and just the first period Saturday. I thought Looker did a great job with the play by play, knows the game of hockey, knows Sioux hockey and sounded like he was having fun. I imagine it was hard to jump in for TH with short notice but things ounded good to me.

With Tim Hennessey off the air tonight due to his father's death, I starting thinking about play by play voices forSioux Hockey. I can not remember anyone besides Tim doing the games although I remember it being on other stations years ago. Anyone recall anyone else doing the games and/or color partners? (Scott Hennen is doing teh PA for Darrin Looker who is on the radio tonight)

Anyone booked rooms for the F5 yet? If so, what hotel and did you get any deals?

I bought a dish 3 years ago on the wonderful advice of the smart folks on this topic. I tried each fall to get it going but to no avail, then the snows came and I quite for the season. Does anyone know of a person/business that I can pay to come to Thief River Falls to hook it up? I am looking for someone to mount it on my garage, get the dish positioned and the receiver programmed. I would run the cable into the house later. Thanks

I am looking for a copy for the 2007 UND Vs St. Cloud Final Five game on FSN. When they came back from a commercial break in the first period some friends and I with our hair sprayed green were on the crowd shot. PM if you have a DVD/tape available. Thanks

REA PA voice Darrin Looker will do the PA at the Final Five at Friday afternoon's Semi Final and the 3rd place game on Saturday. I suppose he will have to keep it non-bias because it is the tourney but it will be cool to have another Sioux link at the Final Five!!!!

Michael Forney, Sioux recruit from Thief River Falls, scored the game winning goal in the 4TH OVERTIME to beat Warroad for the Section 8A Championship Thursday night and the right to go to the state tourney next week. Warroad won state last year, this the first time TRF has been to the state in 40+ years. GO PROWLERS and GO SIOUX

Sooooo It looks like I will sneak a call to Diretv to add the sports pack and be able to watch Du games this weekend. The extra $12 (small price to pay if you ask me) will not make my wife happy but what are you going to do? Go Sioux

Over the last couple of seasons, Directv has added Fox Sports North/Wisconsin for nothing when Wisconny is playing the Sioux. Wonder if they will pop on Fox Sports-Rocky Mountain this weekend for the Denver/Sioux game? I realize I can pay the extra $12 a month to get FSN-RM to watch the games. Any know if there is a lower price to just add the Sports networks for just the weekend?? Go Sioux!!!

The PA guy at the Wild game was NOT the new Sioux announcer. The new one should be officially announced Monday.

In april of '04 I bought a receiver/dish to get FSSN, kept putting off installing it and the next thing I knew the season was underway, too busy to work on it with baby one the way.......I WILL get it up this weekend (fingers crossed) but I have read psot about the bad signal last year, needs for bigger dish, different LNB......here is what I have today: Satwork ST 3688 receiver LNB Box says Input 11.7-12.2 Ghz Output 950-2150 Mhz Gain-60 db typ LO: 10.750 Ghz NF: 0.6 db the Dish is about 30 inches across......... Is this going to work if I put it up (assuming I put it up correctly) or do I need something else? Thanks!!!!

When they show a stat Sioux related on the bottom of the screen, why does it feature the olg geometric logo??? Is it something to do with the name controversy? Looks stupid since they don't use that logo anymore. ps-Having a ball watching the Sioux playing great hockey with my Gopher fan Dad tonight!!! All WCHA Frozen Four??? Would be cool

I remember hearing something about the Ralph, before it opened, hosting the final five and the seats in the upper bowl could be taken out and bleacher type seats put in to come close to the minimun # of seats needed to host the tourney. the temp. seats/bleachers (not sure on the exact style) would be smaller than the current seats thus adding more spots......

I will be traveling from NW MN for the Final Five and will be sporting green hair THursday , not for St. Patty's Day but for the Sioux!!!! Last year we (30 some year old mind you) sat with green hair during the sioux games next to a U of M student with a maroon wig and maroon and gold face paint. Good times! Good natured ribbing and a nice pic with "Ronald McDonald" as we called him. Good times, good Sioux hockey and beer......can't wait!!

I think I should know this by now but......The Sioux (if they win the series this weekend) are playing the play-in game on Thursday BUT if the lower team bumps off the # 1, 2, or 3 team this weekend would the sioux skip the play-in game or would 2 of the lower seeds have to bump 1, 2 or 3 off for the sioux to skip thursday. as i type this I THINK 2 lower seeds would need to win? Maybe I should just get back to work.

can't find the post that stated what radio station carries St. Cloud Hockey. I am near St. Cloud for the weekend visiting the in-laws. Couldn't tune in the game last night but all the a.m. stations were a little static-y. GO SIOUX
