And I probably do not much care what you think either skiumah2 . . . . I have not weighed in on this one until now. We were at the Ex after the game, and saw the display. I have little doubt that it was little more, or less, than a crybaby reaction to the shutout loss, and to criticism that was likely directed at him by the coaches. As for him sitting out last weekend, who is to say that he, and maybe his folks, were not still pouting themselves. If Hirsch plays on Thursday, and every indication is that he will, he is more than fair game to any fair heckling that will come his way. If he indeed has psychological problems that are deeper other than rank immaturity, I suspect that they do not go away in under thirty days. Any such problems do not get better simply with a ticket to the Frozen Four. If Hirsch is fragile, Lucia is being selfish and greedy to play him, and his handlers are being stupid for allowing him to play. If he is on the ice, I will ride him as much as I would ride any player. Any big Gopher momma parents want to get in my face over it, then they should probably get in Lucia's face for placing their poor boy in such a precarious position of having a few fans riding him for his childish ways. If he is sick, he does not play. If he plays, he is not sick. If he is not sick, he is fair game.

I am. Only thing, Scott cheated. Hit the refs helmet, which bumped into Hale and cut him. It was over from there. Hale held his own, and the Sioux kicked ass that weekend. Parise and Parise were on the Gophers' Suck Network tonight. Pretty cool interviews.

I am surprised that Amy Klobachar, or however you spell her name, the Hennepin County Attorney, did not charge him back earlier this winter when he totally manhandled and held two Gophers at bay, at arm's length, during an attempted scrum by the boys skating for the Team That Never Does Anything In Violation of The Rules of The Game. That was hilarious. I loved Scott when Hale pounded him at Michigan Tech in January of '04, and I loved him when he manhandled those Goofie lads, and scored the game winner that evening to boot. Too bad he is in a spot of trouble. Thank God he did not hurt anyone, or anything, other than some late model VW bus.

Got yourself a woodie there Duh-ey? Time to go, your momma's ringing the homework bell. Wait, what you're probably hearing is the buzzer at the Burger King drive-thru. Get back to work and stop daydreaming about wishing that you were a Sioux fan.

Hey MafiaMan . . . . That new avatar isn't implying that you're gonna be walking to Columbus, does it? Sure wish we coulda hooked on a road trip. You'd be a fun guy to road trip with, eh? Good luck on the charter, the Baptism, and see you in Columbus.

2005 Frozen Four Confirmed Attendee List!
NorthDakotaHockey replied to siouxbear1's topic in Men's Hockey
NorthDakotaHockey - - Two, maybe three. One a juvenile. No need to alert the authorities, she is my daughter and will be there voluntarily, and will be intensely cheering for the Sioux to SK828 and jeering for the Gophers to crawl back down their hole. Holiday Inn West right now, although I heard now that the Alumni trip is not going to base there, but somewhere else in addition to the Crowne Plaza. Anyone have a room at the Crowne to sell to us? -
It may not be the best of company, and it may be a bit pricey, but you could fly on the Creative Charters plane full of Gopher fans. It may take awhile getting through security on the way back, what with all of the razor blades that will need to be confiscated from the disconsolate Goofie faithful.

Do you have to be Press to get into the conference?? PCM, can you make up a raft of cardboard face cut-outs, with rubberbands. You know, PCM Halloween masks. That way, we could all be there, and you could still be speaking for all of us, and be asking all of the hard questions on our behalfs.

Here are the vagaries of this NCAA Rule, straight out of the "Championship Fan Guide" for the 2005 Frozen Four . . . . . ---------------------------- ". . . . Guests are reminded that the following items are always prohibited: food, alcoholic beverages, bottles, cans or containers, irritants (e.g. artificial noisemakers, Gopher jerseys), videocameras, monopods/tripods, and strobe lights. Promotional items (e.g. shakers, cups, flags, etc. with commercial slogans or identification are also prohibited. The Schottenstein Center does not offer item checks so prohibited items will have to be returned to the guest's vehicle. Noncommercial signs, flags, or banners that, in the opinion of the NCAA, reflect good sportsmanship, are able to be held by one individual and do not block the view of other ticket guests, are permitted. No signs, flags, or banners of any size may be affixed to the facility. --------------------------- Amazing stuff. Will the security guys at the turnstiles be deemed NCAA officials?

If we can jam 10 in there, that'd be $9.50 a night, each, plus gratuity. Let us know if you are interested in working down your bottom line. -
2005 Frozen Four Confirmed Attendee List!

Anybody have a phone number or street location for this Holiday Inn that looks hot? Thanks. -
Well, honestly. We did here. Absolutely. Unconditionally. There was never a doubt. This team is loaded with talent, chemistry, brains, and brawn. Not to mention desire, motive, heart, and soul. All backed and guided by one heck of a top shelf coaching staff. All it took was a bit of time melding in the cauldrons of December and January. SK828.

Any word yet on some of the main hotels where legions of Sioux fans might be staying? Anyone know what the UND HQ Hotel will be, other than a pricey stay?

I am not even gonna bother going over to GopherPuckLive and waste my time there. Waste enough of it here as it is. Nice to see that Bertibm, and other Gopher strollers, and sometimes trollers, like to come here to get their fix of hockey wisdom and insight. Don't let the mouse hit you in the hind end. I know that it is hard to find much other than the same old tired mantras over on the brown and yellow site. Here is all that the people really need to know from here on in . . . . Sioux-Gophers rivalry is, perhaps, the most storied in all of college hockey. Don't let any Gopher newbies tell you that they hate the Badgers worse. Sioux-Gophers find themselves in a Frozen Four match-up for first time since '79. Tigers-Pioneers rivalry certainly is one of the most storied rivalry in all of college hockey as well. This is a first time match-up between them at the Frozen Four, best I can tell. CC will get by Denver in a classic. Sioux will get by UM in a classic. As such, the thugs, the prima donnas, and all of the talkers will be sitting on the sidelines Saturday night to watch the skaters and the clean hard hitters - playing for two of the classiest programs in the sport - play one more great game, just like the four that they have already played this year. Winner? Why, the Sioux, of course. If you don't like these predictions, go waste your time somewhere else.

While this is probably stating the obvious, there may be a few lookers here who may benefit from what I am about to say . . . . Look at the Fan Forum/Tickets thread of uscho.com here There appears to be folks from all over looking to dump some packages. Get 'em while the getting is good. Go Sioux! Colby is driving the big coach cruiser. Jordan is riding shotgun. The rest of us are walking, driving, hitching, biking, begging, or flying to Columbus.

Jeez. I had always assumed that the Frozen Four was going to be played at the Columbus NHL arena, Nationwide. It is not. As I am now informed now that I pay a bit closer attention, the Frozen Four is being played on the campus of The Ohio State University. Jerome Schottenstein Center. 17,500 capacity. NHL-sized sheet of ice. Anyone know how, if any chance at all, of glomming on to some of the school allotment of tickets, and where the team will have its HQ? I assume that the NCAA controls these decisions, as everything. Love those white boards at the Regionals. I'd be all for whipping the Gophers. Of course, we would also have to listen to them between now and April 7 . . . . . M-E-D-I-O-C-R-E. Mediocre. Mediocre. Aaaaaayy MEDIOCRE!!

That sound you hear, most likely to the east, is about 6,000 Michigan sphincters slamming shut in Grand Rapids. There sure was some shuddering of that same sound to be heard at The John this afternoon. I know. I was there. Man, were those Gopher fans nervous and complaining. Go Sioux!
-
We said it some time ago. Colby is the de facto Captain of this team right now. Seeing how the "C" and "A" letters are already on deserving jerseys, we probably oughta put a BIG "D" on Colby's jersey tonight. "D", for Driver. Driver of the bus. The Bus, to Columbus. Tonight is gonna be a blast. Win or lose, this team has been a blast to follow, and to cheer. Thank God all of the leapers from early January are in off the ledges. Colby Genoway = epitome of Sioux Tradition and Success.

You put an ether mask on the wife??
-
Hockey Mom's place. I'll probably be out dancing with 7>4's wife. She's getting tired of him always having his snout in this message board. Go Sioux!!
-
That injured Lakers goalie had 49 saves with six minutes to go when he left. Here that sound from the East? That's the sound of 12,000 BC sphincters slamming shut right about now. Listen for it around The John about 3 pm CST tomorrow. And for it in Worster around 9 pm tonight.
-
My thoughts are the same as they have been since October. Glad to see that the Bandwagon is loading up again. Sioux are gonnu kill some BU Butt tonight, and take it to BC tomorrow (although I certainly have not given up on the 'Hurst tonight). Colby and Jones are driving the Bus. Rats. Wish we were in Worster. Giving flak to those Boston fans. They just might be the fans with even less knowledge, and more arrogance, than Gopher fans, as a lot of course.
