  1. I think it's funny that they are so tight lipped about this... Not much transparency at all by the SCSU hockey team, when Finley and Frattin got into trouble the details came out fast and the UND hockey team didn

  4. Please Sioux Nation pray for Ali Borgen who is having a tough time right now. I wanted to share this with the Sioux fans as they are the most caring and loving fans in the whole world. Little Ali's prognosis is not good but please pray for her. No little girl or family should have to go through this. Breaks my heart,. She and her family live in GF and they have such courage.

  6. Hum! I see a bet coming here... I don't him playing anymore than a handful of games the rest of the way and it will probably be in the form of bad opponents like MTU and maybe one game against RMU... Even against the USDT Under 18 team he was fighting the puck horribly.

Good points. I do believe Eids has confidence issues. However it is nice to have two solid goaltenders who can come in at any time and give us a chance to win.

  7. A place like RPI actually makes sense to an extent for a guy like Zach. If he's 3/4 the player his brother was, he will light it up there. This could potentially raise draft stock if he knows he needs some help. Also, he ends up out East where a lot of scouts are. If he goes to the WCHA, he's going to be limited based on the toughness of the league and the way the game is played in this region.

Or, maybe he just doesn't have the skill level necessary to garner offers from bigger schools...not enough to persuade him to stay out west anyways.

    Just thinking out loud...

Good points. I thought perhaps because the fans were so tough on Jordan when he left that they may not want to go through all that again.

  8. In an odd twist,

Jordan Schroeder's younger bro, Zach, committed to RPI according to Heisenberg.

That is assuming that Zach Schroeder of St. Thomas, MN is Jordan's brother.... If not, I'll delete this post.

Looks like he and the family wanted as far away from the WCHA as possible. Did the Gophers ruin it for the family?

  9. if you read before typing, you would would know... it's a joke...dude.

To all of the latest coments...If you saw Mario play in person, you would get it. Everyone on this board would've loved Toni as well if he wore a green sweater. don't kid yourself. (last part directed at Leafsguy)

Now if this was the real Tony Hrkac I would actualy consider your comment but you probably aren't and we were better off without Toni.

  10. My skin just crawls thinking about this. I know I dropped my kids off at school today but yet I for a brief moment was hoping it was not them, even though I know they are safe in school. My prayers and thoughts go out to all involved.

  11. the sioux tested miller and miller gave it right back. he and grimaldi are going to be great college hockey players for und!

Nice avatar photo AZ Sioux. I can't wait to see Grimaldi play as I have never watched him in person or on tv.

  12. You missed one on Saturday.

JT Miller got a deflection goal on the power play in an exhibition game ... I forget where.

I thought Miller looked like a fighting sioux player out there this weekend. He will be a good player for the Sioux. Anyone catch him and Mac going at it at the end?

Can't wait to see him in a UND jersey.

  13. I totally understand if Hudson wants to play for a team closer to home. We would sure like to have him but I understand with this recruit. I just don't think the gophers deserve someone like him. They can have Michaelson, as it turns out he was not Sioux material. Hudson is a good kid and he deserves a program and fan base that are equally deserving and that program is UND.

  14. According to the Fargo Forum, Demers has 5 D1 offers to play hockey. Does anyone know if UND is one of those offers. I know, I know, people will criticize since he is a ND boy, but he is having a great year and has worked really hard all 3 years in the USHL, He would be a great 4 year player that could play in many situations.

    http://www.inforum.com/event/article/id/300437/

Let me guess Minnesota is one of those schools. They only seem to win championships lately with Nodak boys. :)

  15. Chay needs to pick up his defensive play quite a bit. He needs to learn when to gamble and when not to.

He is a very dangerous player, unfortunately it can be good or bad for the Sioux.

Against UMD he made an ill advised pinch at the blue line in overtime which lead to an odd man rush and the game winning goal.

He did this again tonight in overtime which lead to a great shorthanded chance for ND, not to mention the game tying goal tonight when he got beat like he was a freshman playing his first game.

This stuff cannot continue to happen, he is a fifth year senior and needs to step it up. He gets a ton of ice time and if he is going to continue to be a defensive liability then this team will have no chance of winning the NC$$.

I am not worried about Chay in the least. He certainly lives and dies by the sword. If he would play to conservative people would be griping that he doesn't get more involved. He also does a lot of the little things that people don't notice. The kids aces in my book. Oh yeah and the kid is a super nice guy of the ice.

  16. My gosh....talk about back and forth at the end. Dell with a great save at the end to get a point out of the game for the sioux. A tie sits better than a loss, but still a game the sioux should have won.

I can't believe that the officials called that play a goal....that was goaltender interference to a t..............The guy loses his edge into the goalie, lays on him, and the puck goes off him and into the net.....doesn't make much sense. The guy shouldn't have gotten to the net in the first place though.....not a great play by Genoway to get walked around like that.

No loss.....lets go get SCSU next weekend.

I guess you can drive hard to the goalie crash into him and the puck crosses the line and you get a goal. I didn't get to see the replay but we had a good look at it from our seats and that totally should have been waived off. The refs waive off a goal for UND on Friday and give Notre Dame the tying goal tonight. Another nice hatchet job by the fine WCHA refs. What a bunch of buffoons. I hope Hak gets an apology for this weekend.
