The Vandy/Westend area is a great choice as well. Its not walkable to downtown, but short car/lyft ride and a great "local feel" of Nashville.
The worst location is in the Opryland area. Longer drive to downtown and really not a lot of excitment in that area of town.
I ended up booking the Home2 Suites (right next door to Tru) because the room holds 5. It looks like a great location - 2 blocks to Bridgestone and about a 15 minute walk to the Wildhorse.
