My first experience with Sioux hockey was watching games on PBS in the early-mid 80s. Been a fan ever since.

Fire him. I'll take my chances with another coach. I know exactly what to expect with Hakstol and that's a humiliating season ending playoff loss, usually to an inferior team.

What boggles my mind is how the players allow this to happen every year. With the exception of Chay Genways senior year, we always play terrible in the NCAA tourney.
What's the one constant? The players change every year but the coach remains the same. It starts at the top.

Remember when Hak's team showed up for the playoffs and played a full 60 minutes, didn't overthink things or play tentatively, and maybe even overachieved a little given the talent they brought to the tournament?

I saw the one heading south, albeit a little late. I'm just hoping the cube van I was passing blocked the camera at the correct time/angle. I didn't see that it had dropped from 65 to 55. I'll be holding my breath for the next few days. (hmmm kind of like a goofer fan during the playoffs)
Hoping since you got yours on the way back and I haven't seen one yet from on the way there that I'll be alright.
The only bright spot is they don't report the violation to the DMV or your insurance company.
It was an expensive trip back to ND when I figure in the fine, the extra hotel room and extra dining costs while waiting for I-29 to open.

Did you miss the sign that said 55 MPH and the speed limit photo enforced? Whenever you see those signs pay attention.
I obviously missed it. The letter was a complete surprise. I'll know next time.

Did anyone else get busted by the photo cop in Sioux City? I got a nice letter today stating I owe $168 for going 67 in a 55 on Feb 10th.

Room booked at the Watertown HI Express. We're packing it in until Tuesday.
We left Applebee's and were on our way to check into our room at the Holiday Inn Express. As we drove by the I-29 on-ramp, a plow was clearing the entrance so we decided to pull into the truck stop parking lot and wait. Within about 5 minutes, the road opened to the ND border and people started running to their cars. Just as we were taking the off-ramp to the casino, I-29 to Fargo was opened. We just got home about 10 minutes ago. It was an interesting couple of days.
If you look just to the right of the ROAD CLOSED sign, you'll see the plow truck coming to lift the gate.

We made it to Watertown from Brookings about 2 hours ago. Roads were icy but could drive around 40mph comfortably. Now we're just hanging out at Applebee's with around 50 other Sioux fans.

The Applebee's in Brookings looks like the one in GF on game night.

We just checked in at the Hampton Inn in Brookings. There are a lot of ND plates in the parking lot.
