This is a public forum and I can have what ever opinions I want, if I hurt your feelings I'm sorry. But just because I am a fan of the Sioux doesn't mean I have to look at everything through rose colored glasses. To me the success of a team is based on championships won not how many players we have come in play and leave early without ever winning a damn thing whether it be a conference championship or a national championship.

could somebody maybe answer this question as to why this took so long, as it was known that oshie and the blues had been talking since the frozen four. why not sign and finish out the school year. same thing with chorney and finley? Duncan I can see as to fielding free agent offers. Crappy part is we might be in limbo in some of these players until july or august.

I never said he scored 20 goals his freshman year, it was 24

that's a road we shouldn't go down as none of these kids are first round picks. that team 3 years ago had 6 first round picks in stafford, zajac, toews, oshie, finley and lee. this squad wil not have any first round picks. maybe one or two of these kids will come in and score 20 goals maybe they will all score 4 goals. we just don't know. none of these kids has a proven track record at the collegiate level. that is why I am saying we can't base our hopes for success on freshman you don't kno what you are going to get. we've had kids who light up the canadian junior leagues with the likes of 70 goals and struggle to hit 15-20 goals in a season here(Wes Dorey).

my doom and gloom attitude at this moment comes from the fact as a team they scored 129 goals and if duncan, kozek, finley and chorney are gone as well only 57 goals come back. my point is unless we have some returners have monstrous years it is going to be a very tough year as we can't expect to be carried by freshman and if we do we're in trouble.

assuming Duncan and Kozek are gone who are we going to get it from? unproven freshman? take the leading scorers who should be back:VV-totals last year were based lot on playing with Oshie and Duncan, Watkins has never been a scorer, Frattin was underachieving last year as he couldn't find the back of the net if the goalie was gone, Miller-come on, Martens-Come on, Trupp-maybe? we'll be lucky to average 2 goals a game. If the Sioux have to rely on freshman carrying them we're in trouble.

best of luck TJ after 3-4 more players leave, get used to a season of 1-2 goal games. this upcoming season will make last season look high scoring.

I thought our schedule was brutal, I saw UW's there first four series: at bc/unh at denver minnesota at home at und (although they are 4-0-1 in their last five here and it is in the first half of the season and we'll be minus a few studs-oshie, chorney, etc.) Eaves also said that the NCAA might put a rule in that you have to be above .500 to make the tourmey and they they might change the way they schedule if they do that by scheduling a few more cupcakes to make sure they are above .500.

it's probably not going to happen but I would like to see the like of oshie, chorney and/or finley spurn(sp) the big clubs like boyle of BC a couple of years ago and come back for 1 more shot at a title as you only get so many chances. but as we all know it's about the almighty $$$ and not winning in todays sports world. as not one of those players will sniff a championship at the pro level for quite some time, if ever.

I see INCH doesn't even have UND or the gophers in the top 10 for next year.

is und a minor league team or a 4-year university sometimes I wonder with remarks I hear from the coaches in that they even tell some players to leave for the nhl. I thought they(coaches) were to have the best interests of the program and university in mind.
