  1. Yup, it's pretty reasonable to assume President Kelley told Hardee it was cool to drive players drunk. I'm glad someone finally uncovered the corrupt culture at this school! :silly:

Only a couple dozen more issues and UND can reach the vaunted goal of catching NDSU in criminal activity. UND is only in its second year of post-season competition, so while they have passed NDSU in every sport they play, they still have a long way to go to be as criminally active as the bizun.

    :silly:

  2. I know, that's why its funny to see teams like Alcorn State, GSU, and EWU ahead of Kansas.

rpi is based on schedule strength not how good your team is overall. winning obviously helps but still

  3. YSU (one of the teams that was "left out" of the playoffs) lost to SDSU 42-13 in Youngstown the last week of the season but yet the Big Sky is terrible and overrated because their 3rd or 4th team in lost 26-7 to very next week to the same SDSU team while playing without their head coach? Not sure what NAU did in the 2nd half (wasn't able to watch), but I'm not buying the conference strength/weakness correlation from this game.

and our 6th place team took your 3rd place team to the wire. just like your 10th place team took our 2nd place team to the wire. i think the conferences are fairly neck and neck., i would give slight edge to MVC but its not like one is head and shoulders above the other

  4. The jacks may be able to hold ewu below their season average for scoring by limiting possessions, but even that will still require Sumner to make plays for the jacks to win. Ewu will do to them what the huskers did. Zenner will get yards, but they will be playing from behind which will put it in Sumner's hands.

    Here's the jacks' problem;

Sumner isn't good enough to make enough of those plays

Sumner will throw it to the other team

Both of these things will result in the jacks losing, but turning in a respectable showing.

very true but i see sdsu getting big yardage as well. i think there will be a lot of back and forth scoring. like you said, sumner must avoid turnovers. but i think their O can do some work on the ewu D. expecting a higher scoring game that will be within a td

  5. I guess good guys are out at 5:05 AM after a loss at a tournament and run their car into somebody then take off? Not my idea of a good guy and role model. Do you suppose he may have been drinking and that is why he drove off? Bite my tongue, not Ashlee Hardee.

    lets not assume things...

  6. su fans have a need to feel superior. They have great fan base with many things to feel good and proud about. but many of them are scared as hell about UNDs success. They know that eventually UND would be as successful as them. Even overtake them. As this plays out expect SOME of them to get worse.

lol. and how many DI conference titles do you have? not including hockey ???

  7. Does anyone else get the feeling that we have way to many Bison fans worried about UND's athletic teams? Bison fans are all over the basketball topics too. You would think that they would be more worried about their own programs since UND is beating them in all the sports they are willing to play UND in.

just so we get facts straight ndsu is 13-12-1 vs UND in DI. thats without playing in football and softball. carry on...

  8. That's why this level of football is great. We'll find out for sure once the playoffs get a few rounds in. No need to have these conversations, it will be decided on the field.

no need to have these conversations? thats dumb. its fun to discuss it. right now i would say 1. CAA 2. MVC 3. Big Sky

  9. Not to let facts get in the way, but here' are the last 5 years tournament seedings (since NDSU has been eligible).

    2013 - SDSU - 13 and Montana - 13

    2012 - SDSU - 14 and Montana - 13

    2011 - Oakland - 13 and UNC - 15

    2010 - Oakland - 14 and Montana - 14

    2009 - NDSU - 14 and Portland State - 13

The Big Sky has been higher twice, the Summit once and the same twice. And Oakland isn't in the league anymore.

i stand corrected. for some reason was thinking the big sky teams had some more 15 seeds in there

  10. if ndac makes the big dance its because they only had to get past the powerhouses called iupui and uupifw unlike und which will probably have to beat weber state and montana...big difference

huh? summit has had higher rpi than big sky past several seasons. thanks for cherry picking middle of the pack to lower summit teams with the top big sky teams

  11. NDSU isn't necessarily a lock to win the Summit tourney. Look at the trouble they had when their starters got into foul trouble. With these new foul rules, teams that have depth on the bench and guys that can penetrate to the basket will have success. I believe UND has both, so they will do very will IMO tis year with the new rules. NDSU has Braun who can get to the basket and to the foul line. They have Bkorkland too, but other than maybe Wright, they don't have many guys that can drive to the basket consistently. They also don't have a very deep bench. When you have to play your 5 foot nothing walk on Freddy Newell because guys are in foul trouble, you have problems. The Bison have 7 maybe 8 guys they would be comfortable sending out there. That is gonna hurt when their starters get into foul trouble, as we found out on Sunday. While I agree the Bison path to the Big Dance may be easier, that doesn't mean that is is a lock.

newell only plays in blowouts. he was in for the last play of the 1st half to prevent some of our players from picking up another foul. it was a smart move.

  12. Obviously UND has a better men's basketball team than NDSU this year, but there is a negative side to it though. NDSU will probably make the NCAA tourney because the Summit appears to be not very good this year. The Big Sky looks very strong and UND will have a much tougher time to make the tourney. UND will have a much harder time than NDSU to make the tourney. Hopefully UND is hot at the end of the year which is when it matters.

summit has had a higher rpi and one seed higher in dance the last several seasons. this year remains to be seen

  13. I like Saul Phillips, he is a great guy in person (he was my son's baseball coach the past couple years), its to bad Bison fans are ready to dump him like a bad habit. I guess if you don't have success every year they want to dump you quickly (Bohl during the 2009 season). It was one game, still a lot of season left, plus you are already in the SL tourney (since every team besides Omaha gets in), but Bison fans hate to admit that UND has caught up to them after going through transition and has beaten NDSU now 2 out of the last 3 years. Its okay Bison fans we understand. Just enjoy your football run because when UND passes you in that, then I guess you have wrestling to fall back on since UND has passed you in at least 3 sports (well 4 with soccer).

it might be decades before you pass us in football. since some of our programs have played since 2010, NDSU leads the series 13-12-1. Thats without playing in football or softball. Just throwing out stats. Mens Basketball series is tied at 2-2. I will only give you a slight edge there because of the big win on Sunday but if NDSU makes the dance and UND doesnt well then it doesnt matter really. The series has been pretty even since we started playing again. Unlike what most UND fans would have you believe

  14. correction. it was your final four ;)

unds offense got all of the attention but i thought your defense was pretty good against us. you rarely gave us good looks. although braun put on a show in the 2nd half a lot of those shots were tough with hands in his face and off balance. down low we didnt get a lot of looks. early in the game we missed a lot of layups and close shots and i think a lot of that had to do with your defense.

  15. So your saying the Gold Star band shouldn't be at the games because their aren't part of Taylor's and Dorn's empire.

Dorn is such a joke of an administrator, and Taylor continually backs her. She probably wanted them renamed the Marching Dykes is honor of flood fighting, and they didn't accept so they left the athletic department.

band member can get schollys #/Facts

  16. I wouldn't be sure of that, Bison fans have their chests so puffed out, they think they could take on the Kansas City Chiefs. They love to bring up the Sagarin ratings, and see where they rank in the Big 10/SEC conferences. Lakes and his butt buddy Asses1180 are probably going to write this on their respected boards so it should get some talk...except on Lakes's board where you hear him and the voices in his head.

good one dude. lol. you seriously believe what your wrote? get real.

  17. Nothing says Top 25 like beating an FBS team with a losing record (again) by 3 points on a last minute drive. So delusional.

last minute? try nine minutes. where ndsu absolutely wore out the KSU defense. not saying KSU is a very good team this season or anything, but you act like it was a fluke win
