  1. 4th and 2...defense caught with its pants down on the fake punt. Klieman definitely showing some inexperience. And why the long field goal with a buck and change left. NDSU had 2nd and 3rd down to gain, what, 5 yards? Screen pass, first down picked up, ballgame.

the return team was in punt safe. just didnt execute.

  2. NDSU's bench has been an issue for years.  Last year we attacked them and got them in foul trouble and won easily by 18.  We can do the same thing this year by driving and attacking with our guards and keep everyone fresh with a solid rotation so if it does come down to the end our main stay players are fresher than theirs.   Go Sioux

Yeah the dribble drive from you guys could hurt us. I see Jones trying to attack NDSU off the dribble a lot like last year.

  3. Expecting big things from Nash, don't think they have anyone that can match up with him.  Wouldn't be surprised if they tried Kory Brown on him.  He's their best defender but will be giving up 4 inches.

Hoping Q and de Rouen are closer to full health.

Think that Calcaterra can have some success down low as well.  Shouldn't be anybody with the height to slow him down unless Kading steps up.

Not sure on Jacobson, guessing he'll play.  He's been streaky, if he's on, he will be a factor, if he's off, don't bother worrying about him.  He has 3 bad games where he is a combined 1-26 (.038%) and 4 good games where he is 21-38 (.552%).  NDSU has only been playing between 6-8 guys in their regular rotation, hopefully UND can wear them down.

Wouldnt shock me if Brown was on Nash, but that might put us at a bigger disadvantage elsewhere. He's guarded 6'6, 6'7 type guys in the past though. Jacobson and Miller just arent ready to guard a guy like him. AJ is good to go after missing the UM game. A lot of perimeter shots in this one gonna come down to who's more hot. Im pretty worried about this one.

  4. :silly:

Looks like I touched a nerve darrell ((based on your posts in a couple other threads).  I have no issues with people bringing up NDSU when it's relevant.  Your NDSU posts are often irrelevant to what is taking place in the thread.  Had you stated the NDSU-UMC score followed up with some analysis such as UMC played a zone D which forced took away the post players for NDSU forcing them to look for outside shots.  Then pose a possible game plan as to how how UND could use it to their advantage, then fine...that would be a relevant post as opposed to informing us that NDSU had a close game with UMC.

You bring up NDSU and quote bisonville more than anyone else here.  That's your thing, I get it...I was just suggesting we put it all in one thread so we don't have to see it in mutiple threads in multiple forums.

PS.  Hopefully no one bashes my hypothetical bball analysis summary above.  I did not watch the game, see any highlights, or read any news stories to see what happened. I am far from a basketball genius so I was just typing off the top of my head...  :)

We have zero post presence this season. UND shoulld have advantage there. We will need to shoot well to win most games this season.

Utah will be a handful for you guys. Wright I believe for them is expected to be a 1st round pick.

  5. It's guys like him that make it SO much more enjoyable when we beat the tractor crossing college.  Graduating in 2011 he has only been a Bison fan when they were on top, he'll realize that at some point the tide will swing.  I wonder if he will be coming to our site cocking off when that happens.

Guessing he was there in 08 and 09...

  6. I said it before here somewhere:

NDSU does nothing exceptional in their offense; what NDSU does is execute the offense they run exceptionally

How do you create a defense to beat that?

With the same things: Scheme. Discipline. And run it exceptionally.

NDSU took the graduation hit this year on the offensive side (line and new QB). They'll be veterans next year.

NDSU takes the graduation hit next year on defense. They lose both starting safeties, three key LBs, and their monster DE. Those safeties are key losses in the Tampa 2 NDSU runs.

So looking way, way ahead now it looks to be:

    - UND's progressing and year-more-mature defense on NDSU's mature offense

    - NDSU's revamped defense on UND's where-will-it-be-then offense

Not that it means everything but as of right now how many starters on both sides will UND return next season?

  7. Three points:

    1. NDSU is the three-time and defending FCS champion and is riding a 26 game winning streak.

    2. Other games around the country all have something to take the shine off them, specifically, SoCar being thrashed already by TA&M so SoCar/GA isn't quite so special.

and I think very importantly ...

    3. Gameday last week was at the MichSt/Oregon game. Did they really want to do a trans-continental run and setup with all that gear for SoCar/GA? Stop in Fargo on Sep 13. Be ready to go anywhere for Sep 20.

NDSU did what they needed to to get a repeat, but a lot of other circumstances (SoCar, Texas, IA State all already with losses) went into it also.

this. SC beats A&M no doubt they would be in Columbia this week. The bad matchups this week are the main reason. Tenn/OU Im sure looked a little intriguing but they will probably end up in Norman at some point. They are probably looking at Florida/Bama for next week

  8. ahhh, playing a game against the number 1 overall seed is a nice way of saying NDSU is the worst team in the field... Of course you should have heard/seen Bison fans ragging on Weber St. during the basketball season.. hey just a minute were are the #BUTRPI wizzards from NDSU now 248 out of 302 - holy !@#$ any other team they would on that teams site ripping them..

ndsu is definitely one of the last seeds. youngstown qualified and their record is 16-36. theyre playing in the Indiana region. some of it has to do with travel reasons. we got hot at the right time. play the summit tournament again this weekend and we very well could go 0-2

  9. You can admit how jealous you are of how well UND women are doing in major sports.... Basketball, Volleyball, Hockey - all killing it, and with attendance over 1000 in each. How are your women's programs doing? Softball - nobody watches, golf - nobody watches, exercising - nobody watches, oh and nobody watches your women's basketball or volleyball, either. NDSU's womens athletic department is, as you guys like to call it, a dumpster fire! Its trash. Enjoy your softball while we dominate you in women's basketball and volleyball, sports that actually get national recognition.

    #buttfootball

  10. This just shows a lack of character but we shouldn't be surprised. Gene told a Fargo reporter years ago that SU wouldn't play UND as long as he and/or Chappy were around. Fargo reporter didn't dare report it for fear of being banned from access to SU athletics.

If you won't play that is fine but own up to it and don't hide behind disingenuous negotions while you stall and then pull out of the verbal agreement you made.

Own up to what? We can schedule how we please. If you cant play on on our terms youre just gonna have to deal with it. We dont need to play you guys as much as you need to play us

  11. I'm good friends with most of these people, in fact one of them is my best friend and she's been threatened so much she's scared to leave her house. She left a huge apology on Twitter and Facebook last night but had to delete both due to the amount of death threats she was receiving. The logo (which I personally think is the only bad part of the shirts) was designed by Custom Ink, not them. AFTER seeing how the shirts turned out they knew it wasn't a good idea to wear them anywhere else so they put them on in the morning, off-campus where they lived, and took some pictures together. They didn't wear them around and flaunt them in public. It was never their intention to offend anyone, it was college kids trying to make a fun shirt for Spring Fest while hanging out with each other. None of them are even remotely racist, in fact a few of them are part native.

Let's just say that they've learned from it and they're beyond sorry. They've told me that it was a dumb mistake and that they had no idea anything like this would happen. There were actually a lot of kids on campus wearing very similar shirts that obviously aren't in the news at all. Never would have guessed it would be smarter to wear them in public than at your own place haha.

I think the death threats are a bit outrageous, and with any luck all of those people will be arrested and prosecuted since all the messages are being handed over to police and most of them include the real names and everything of the people. I did spend all afternoon/night with them during spring fest, just not the morning while they were wearing the shirts, so if there are things you'd like to ask I might be able to answer them, but obviously I can't answer everything.

This was NOT his twitter account. He deleted his on Sunday morning. This was someone who set up an impersonation account which is why the account is now banned.

Kinda funny how hypocritical the other side of the spectrum is. People giving them death threats. Wow pot meet kettle

  12. If I was a fan of a team that will be counting heavily on a VERY overated Hooker and a UMKC castoff in Tyler as their starting backcourt, I would be worried about my own team. Neither of them has any ability to create offense for themselves, and I would be surprised if they get any better with that coaching staff.

As far as players with only D2 offers, I think NDSU has done fairly well with Woodside, Winkleman, Braun, etc. Some coaching staff develop talent, while others let their players regress.

Estan Tyler is a good player. He should be better with better players around him than there was in UMKC

  13. A person commented on a FB friend of mine's post about the article. Sounds like Bison fans to me.

because every 18-23 year old in Fargo is in college and attends NDSU? Not saying there werent any NDSU students in this pic, but lets not jump to conclusions

  14. Yawn. NDSU sucks at baseball. Their coach pretty much said so in the article after the game.

i will admit you guys are better than us this season. our bottom of the lineup has killed us all season

  15. Thanks for encapsalating 30 years in one cartooon and we don't have that nickname anymore...sssooooo....you're point???

Seth Mcfarlane is about as funny and "SOCIALLY IMPORTANT" as a hemmoroid. Seriously? Why didn't he go after Florida State and it's white guy of the day in costume planting the flaming spear in the ground? McFarlane is a PUSSY! NOT a groundbreaker. He has a cartoon making fun of fat white guys so WHAT!!! ANYONE COULD DO THAT!!! Including BisonTeacher with his BLOCKHEADED kid character as his avatar....now THAT little troll is HILARIOUS!! LEGO ANYONE? ??? oof...glad that's NOT my hideous kid - special ed IS expensive

    stay classy ya turd

  16. From the 13-14 season. A player that is still under scholarship currently.

Oh because your spring practice game was on kvly yesterday the 14-15 season has begun. That's right. I learned yesterday bison football is bigger than Stanley cup hockey in nd too. Who woulda known?

    Delusional

except theres a very good chance the spring game drew higher ratings than the playoff hockey game would have locally. theres obviously a market if theyre showing the spring game in the first place. the last two years must have had decent numbers or they wouldnt have put it on tv again this season
