I've been impressed with everything I've seen out of Penn State as well. Looks like great crowd support (at home, anyway), what looks to be a very nice arena, decent uniforms, good coaches, and some pretty good players. All the ingredients are there...

Yes, the script "Michigan State" is far superior to Marvin the Martian on the front. That's also an old-school design I remember from the 1980's.

Speaking of MSU's forest greens...I liked them better when they wore kelly green (circa 1980's)...

LOVE THEM! However, from most camera angles, the dark grey is not a good contrast with MSU's forest green jerseys. They would look much better against Michigan's yellows or Ohio State's (or Wisconsin's) reds.

There was indeed a 6th Badger on the ice off the screen-shot. Clearly too many men on the ice. However, I'd still counter that Rau deserved 2:00 for running Rumpel seconds into the game and for diving in the 3rd period on the cross-check.

Pump the brakes, Siouxman! There's apparently video evidence of a sixth and supposedly SEVENTH skater on the ice during Wisconsin's 2nd goal. Of course, I'd offer up evidence of a Kyle Rau goalie interference penalty seconds into the game as well as a flop on the cross-check that put Minny on an almost 2:00 5x3 power play...but they don't notice that stuff.

They might be young...but they make up for it with a lack of talent! I'll give the Badgers some credit...they showed some guts in the 3rd and rewarded Rumpel for not letting that game become a 5-0 rout early in the 1st period. Gotta love Kyle Rau...seconds into the game, he careens into Rumpel in the crease and bowls him over without himself recoiling at all. Then in the 3rd period, he's carrying the puck into the zone and a Badger D-man puts his stick into his back, Rau crumples to the ice like he just took a two-handed slash to the back of his right calf. No penalty on the Rumpel play...2:00 on Wisconsin for cross-checking in the 3rd. Unbelievable.

Sounds like a real whoopin' last night...the kind I expect to see Seattle put on Green Bay tomorrow!
