Sure...but my memories of it are fading. I was about 2 and a half years old at the time but can still recall Bob Griese throwing that beautiful TD pass in the first quarter. Then my mom had to change my diaper after Washington ran a fumble back for a TD in the 4th quarter, but thankfully Miami held on to win it 14-7!

You missed the joke a few pages ago on the number of Super Bowls the Vikings have lost... I'm a fan of neither team...just a long-suffering Miami Dolphins fan.

Do you have a source for this one? As an alum, I was waiting for an announcement from the UND athletic department the following morning that the Fighting Sioux were also going to move up a notch from DII. When the announcement was finally made that North Dakota was "happy" staying right where they were, my immediate reaction was that they were making a GIGANTIC mistake by allowing the school to not remain at the same level as NDSU. And I would bet that I'm not NEARLY the only one who felt that way. I question your "unanimous" support.

Well, to be fair to Roger, UND steamrolled thru D2 and won multiple football championships after NDSU left. Oh, wait...

Well they're morons. Everyone knows that the greatest win ever was Aaron Rodgers' 50+ yard throw against the Lions on the last play of the game in the middle of the regular season a couple of years ago. You remember, the one where Detroit got called for a facemask on the previous play because a defensive player's pinkie finger touched Rodgers' helmet and Aaron spun his head around like Andre the Giant had just snapped his neck?

How often so the pundits salivate over "dream" match-ups in sports only to see a huge upset along the way de-rail everything. I will shed no tears over seeing a Jacksonville vs Philadelphia Super Bowl.

So do we still hate Sandelin more than Montgomery? I get confused on the weekly Coach-Hate-O-Meter readings...

So you know that they "choked," how? By reading about it in an old Sports Illustrated?
