Correct. I to this day still wear my Winnipeg Jets jersey. I got in 1993 then they moved in 96 still wore it. Will I get a jersey with their new logo..maybe but I will always wear my Jets jersey because its who I like. I still have a Sioux hockey jersey with the old Sioux logo on it from the late 90's (i can't remember what name they give that logo geometric or something like that), but even though I don't wear their current logo doesn't mean I don't support it or love it. I still have a Central Redskins jacket, do I say go Redskins sure but I also say go Knights. It just takes time.

I would say the only team with a failing grade may be our football team. I don't measure baseball, our men's basketball team went to the CIT as mostly Freshman so I would say they are exceeding expectations. But what measures passing transition and failing transition? Is it really wins and losses or is it recruiting? I would think you try to recruit during transition so your team will be competitive during your post-transition years. Because to me did NDSU do great during their transition in most sports? Who knows, who cares all you are fighting for is a conference title. I would say they are failing big time at basketball. They had the 1 year they went dancing (thanks to Woodside) then what have they done since...nothing. Football they were ranked #1 in the polls in transition then 2 years later they end the year 3-8. 1 time in the playoffs in 3 years of eligibility. Same with SDSU. USD has done nothing in their transition. They beat Minnesota and..... thats it. We beat them like every year (except last year). So really who cares what you do in transition. Its what you learn to and what you do off the field (recruit!!) that prepares you when everything matters....PLAYOFFS!

Or North Stars Jerseys at Wild games. I know there were Jets jerseys in Phoenix.

Last night on KX4 at 6:30 Joel Heitkamp interviewed Al Carlson about the name, and he is not going to introduce the bill to repeal the law and only if the votes are there will he vote to repeal it. He thinks the academic part of this situation is being overlooked, he only sees this name a problem for athletics and not the school academicly. So even though the Big Sky is going to kick us out it still doesn't matter to him. He sounded like a big tool on tv last night. Oh and good luck getting votes when you run for congress.

It was funny to see Denver on MNF with Joe Mays, college: North Dakota St. on one side and Chris Kuper college: North Dakota on the other side. Makes for interesting conversation.

UND hockey has really caught on since being at the top more and more. In the Gino years going so long without a championship it wasn't talked about that much more than UND football and basketball which were having good years finally. UND basketball making it to the Elite Eight with Rich Glas and the women's team 3 peating as National Champions. UND football finally beating NDSU and getting into the playoffs which wasn't done since the early 80's. Now with UND almost a lock in the frozen four I think it has to be the talk of the state until NDSU wins a FCS title and they had their 15 minutes or should I say 40 minutes of fame being in the dance vs Kansas but now I can't remember what year that was? 2008 or 2009 something like that.

Best the best team on the gridiron is definately NDSU. Our team hasn't won but maybe 1 big game (#16 Cal Poly 2009). Or else our team hasn't done anything since beating UNI in 2006.

After hearing the podcast Faison said UND got only 125K for the 2010 game and the 2011 game at Idaho and 275K at Fresno State and he was disappointed with that. I think Bunning got those deals. He was glad to get 350k against Bowling Green. He would like to see Minnesota down the road, but the big talk was with NDSU he said it will be every other year like Gene Taylor wants and not every year like Faison wants. So NDSU's OOC schedule will be vs FBS, vs UND, vs Cupcake U. Then the next year will be NDSU at FBS, vs Cupcake U, vs Cupcake St. Then the following year will be at FBS, at UND, vs cupcake U.* * that season with 1 home OOC game is going to get the Bison crowd pissed because they know they could start the year 0-2 (remember NDSU is 0-2 at the Alerus), so enjoy your Wagners, and Cupcake schools now, that is about to end, and I bet GT will do whatever he can to break this deal, like bolt for the FBS.

2003 11-3 2004 9-3 Since then 2 Bowl games and an average record around 6-6. So not horrible but average.

No. I just say if you want the Nickel then play it every year. I want a Dakota 3 team rotation where we play USD, NDSU, and SDSU once a year and rotate every year. 2012 USD, 2013, NDSU, 2014 SDSU.

Since the Fargodome holds roughly 5000+ more than the Alerus I would think the Fargdome would host all playoff games between UND and NDSU. But reguardless of venue it will be the Super Bowl of the upper midwest.

Just picking my kids up from school (which is in North Fargo), I see kids with both Bison shirts and Sioux shirts. When was the last time you saw kids wearing Bison stuff to school in Grand Forks? None when I went to school up there.

Does the host team go to the higher seeded team or does the NCAA have different criteria? Would the Fargodome always host over the Alerus?

Don't forget our Sioux fans fighting to liberate Libya!! That one freedom fighter had a Sioux shirt on.

Next October we play at Eastern Washington and how do you think screaming eagle will handle us beating them on the red turf. I am sure we are next.

All I gotta say is with all the talk and some smack back and forth.....renew the series!!!! If and when the game happens it will be "the" game everyone talks about, and if it happens to be in the playoffs next year every seat will be gone, every tv will be on, every bar will have people cheering in it. The press will have article after article about every stat, and category about the game. This series was like no other in DII, and the country for that matter. UND-NDSU was the civil war of North Dakota and basically Hwy 200 was the battle line. I pop in Football America and get chills when they talk about the rivalry and to see that game played with Roger Thomas' ice to Rocky Hagar's fire it was a classic. I still have on tape (never got around to transfer it to dvd) the 1993 game (12 game broken streak) and the 1994 game (the first rival game in the Fargodome). Both games had so much anger on both teams, and so much to play for. They played for pride, for the state, for the playoffs, and for the Nickel. Can Montana really replace NDSU...no. Can SDSU replace UND..no. They try and its just not the same. We may have new teams we play but there will never be another game like the Sioux vs the Bison. Game on!!!
