Its on our Cable One's premium channels so its a little extra like 5 or 10 bucks but worth it come winter when Sioux hockey is on, plus Sioux basketball, football, and volleyball. I am surprised that with the $$$ NDSU pumps into football they can't get a tv station (Bison Sports Network or something), and televise Bison sports. KVLY is their only hope unless they play Minnesota and maybe a MVFC game on Fox College Sports.

But it was a big deal when at that time they were #16. But UNI was the biggest in DII since beating Grand Valley State to win it all.

South Dakota is starting to make a name for themselves with wins over Minnesota and Eastern Washington. UND needs to play big name FCS teams and WIN!!! UND's last big win 2009 vs #16 Cal Poly. On October 1st we need to go to Cedar City and beat Southern Utah to prove that we can not only beat a FCS team but do it on the road. This team needs confidence and it showed a little bit in that first half against Idaho before the wall collapsed. We need to play a solid game against Fresno St. If we lose by 20 or less that would be respectable, but if we lose 55-0 it could be a long season.

Actually starting in 2012 Jan 1. UND will unveil new jerseys IMO if they do retire the name by Dec. 31st. Or they may still wear the regualr Sioux jerseys until the NCAA tourny (not the WCHA tourny) starts.

Just got my tickets in the mail today!! I am taking the kids and my parents to the parade then to the game. I am going to see for myself how the coaching staff does and see if the Sioux have improved since the Drake game.

When UND plays Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, the Bostons, St. Clown St, Denver, Omaha we could get 30,000. A lot of out of towners can actually see a game and not a sold out sign from 12,000 people.

Timberwolves play at the Target Center. But let me guess NDSU could fill that with 30,000 people. :lol:

UND could pack 30,000 in the Ralph. If hockey wasn't popular was is a little school like Moorhead trying to start one up with the financial problems Minnesota has. Why does Fargo have junior hockey? Why is there now girls hockey in high schools. Yep hockey isn't popular around here.

And maybe since Chapman's free rides are over many students aren't choosing NDSU for that little perk.

The proof of that is just look at the enrollment numbers on how quickly UND has caught up. The % increase for NDSU is very tiny while UND's % increase is almost in the double digits (9.5%).

This part really had me laughing. NDSU is larger in enrollment, but the % increase is very tiny since Joe Chapman left, yet UND % increase is a lot larger, your sports teams are better than ours. Lets see football..yes, basketball...that one game UND-NDSU yes, UND did go to the CIT tourny. Volleyball...Who got an @ss kicking a couple weeks ago. Football on tv. KVLY vs Fox College Sports. Yep no contest. 30,000 in the metrodome sure if it your team, but UND isn't allowed to play Minny due to their BS policy however we pack the Xcel or Marriucci when we play them too.

I am sure it is a major accomplishment a lot of schools haven't had that success but just getting there with an auto-bid isn't that hard to do when you think of it. A team with a crappy record could win the conference title and get in and get blown apart by a Duke or Kentucky. But how about getting back to the dance over and over that is more of an accomplishment. NDSU hasn't been close since 2008.

Football will always take a backseat to hockey in ND!! How many kids from UND or NDSU make it to the NFL compared to the NHL? Also to NDSU if football is a big deal why didn't they move up after winning DII title after DII title? They could have moved up in the late 80's. Why did they hung around? Only to get thumped by UND in the 90's and 2000's.

I have never seen any Flickertail jerseys or shirts out there. I wonder why?
