UND lost 7 straight conference games 1985-86. The most in one season is 4 straight the latest...2002!!

I say maybe. If UND loses to Montana Western or Sioux Falls. Fire him!! If we go 6-5 or 7-4 then I say we are on the right path. LetsGoSioux! is right our first year in the Big Sky is going to tell us if this team is headed in the right direction. So far 2008-2010 we were a DII team in a FCS league. We are slowly improving, plus our recruits are growing up. We are an extremely young team, so if we can win our conference games this team is going to look really good come 2012.

As for UND turning things around. Remember the 80's? 1985 UND went 3-8 in Pat Behrns' last year at UND. 1986 RT's first year..2-9!! Then watch and learn. 1987: 6-4 1988: 7-4 1989: 3-7-1 (a bump in the road) Since that season in 1989 UND has had 2 losing seasons...2002, and 2010. 1990: 7-3; 1991: 7-2; 1992: 6-4-1; 1993: 10-3 (goodbye losing streak to NDSU!) Now look how we can go from 2-9 in 1986 and 7 years later...on top of the NCC and beating NDSU. Just give it time. We are not known to be down in the cellar.

Buffalo Wild Wings was at the Alerus last Saturday...awesome. Games for the kids, great food. Atmosphere was perfect, and had perfect weather too.

UND hosts Montana Western (DII or NAIA) after the SUU game, then coming up is Cal Poly (Oct 22). UND has a bye week between home games.

I do agree with Craig Bohl....I would like to know who voted for whom. It should be an open vote.

Wow...maybe you should have just read and not post. FBS has no barring if your team can't win a National title or even a conference title. NDSU has 1 GWFC title in their FCS career. You do realize the BSC is gaining teams that are or were ranked right? SUU, Cal Poly, and UC Davis. The MVFC is gaining South Dakota, a team UND has lost to 5 times since 1989. USD hasn't won anything but that game against Minnesota in their FCS career. And why is it foolish thinking UND will someday ( i never put a date on anything) move ahead of NDSU. Look what happened in the 90's both teams went in opposite directions. UND up, NDSU down. It happens. Since you don't know the rivalry look at a book and read up on it. UND doesn't lead the series for nothing. NDSU won those titles when UND was down, and UND won their title when NDSU was down. Its a roller coaster, and like I said NDSU's 5 year head start in the FCS is dwendalling down because UND is in a autobid conference and if they can show they can get W's in Bozeman, Missoula, and in Cali, recruiting is going to become a lot easier for UND and a lot harder for NDSU. And about the nickname. I am not worried. That will all pan out, and UND is NOT going to be kicked out of the Big Sky. Just keep your hopes up like other Bison fans do that we will be kicked out, I know they pray for that.

How much for just a Sioux jersey without the personalization. I tried to get one last year at Scheels in GF but they were out. I also would like to find a yard sign (to show my Bison neighbors that a Sioux fan lives in there "hood". Sioux shop have those??

They are over UND. Just look at Bisonville, 200 threads about UND.

UND used to be so deep at QB that some on the list for QB switched to DB. I remember the 1994 UND-NDSU game in the Fargodome. Starting QB Clay Wagner goes down at halftime and here comes freshman QB Kevin Klancher and not only has to play in a huge rivalry game in the Fargodome but to protect a 18-13 lead. He managed to outdo everyone and did great. UND needs that again. they need to be deep (basically at all positions) so if one guy goes down, you know that that backup will step in and do a great job as well. You team isn't that great unless you have a QB to lead the charge.

Plus if you (coach) have confidence your players will have confidence. They will play harder and the game could turn out differently. Kids are NOT stupid. If they see the coach not putting much faith in the team you think that player is going to work his @ss off? Every year when it was Sioux-Bison RT had his kids try and they knew (80's) that weren't going to win. In the 90's RT restored faith and confidence in those games that they went out on the field and believed they could knock off the Bison and in 1993 they did. You need that fire, you need that faith, and you need to believe that you can go down to Cedar City and win. Winning is everything....its the only thing!!

Couldn't that backfire on the coach as well. Most recruits have access now to Twitter and Facebook and message boards and could get the coach a bad rep for not backing off.

He is getting mad at me over at CS. He gets so frustrated that he has to use name calling and slurs but you just have to laugh it off. Most fans already know not to believe anything he says. I am so glad he is not a Sioux fan, and I know there are a lot of people wishing he wasn't a NDSU fan.

Must have been a big recruit to have Bohl call Mollberg before the Gophers game instead of preparing for the game ahead. Whats with the invasion of the Bison fans?? Did you all get kicked out of Bisonville? I enjoy the poll on BVille which one of us is the biggest douche. Its nice just being nominated. I am nowhere near Lakes level. I don't threaten anyone, I don't swear like a sailor. I don't say UND should be in the FBS, and we are going to have 40,000 people in the Alerus, or bring 100,000 people on road trips or other crap he says. Bohl lost out on another recruit to UND, and you don't think he is worried that UND could start to become the UND of the DII era. You remember getting the crap beat out of you by UND every year, and watching UND win a National Title. Bohl thinks about UND for one reason...recruiting. He knows if UND becomes a winner and a football powerhouse he is going to have to work extra hard at recruiting. Like I said the 5 year head start is almost non-existant.

Obviously some of the FCS coaches who vote has respect for UND. We are in the polls for the second week in a row.
