Agrees you on all of this. Give OD credit...he isn't a top 6 guy...never was but he has really contributed in a bottom 6 role. His line last tonight was the most consistent IMO.
Mitch...meh. That 4th line needs Panz if OD plays on the 3rd.
IMO I thought Thompson's offensive game fit with CC"s style of play. Surprised he was a scratch. I didn't notice Ausmus getting hurt.
Paging Schmaltz!! Probably the best talent at a player's post ion but again looked disinterested for 2/3rds of the game.
Agree. How a shot clock doesn't benefit all involved at games like this a no brainer. In MN they keep the clock running in the second half during blowouts to end the misery but won't institute a shot clock to help with the flow of games?
Focus and especially effort have little or nothing to due with Jones as was posed earlier by someone in this thread on this topic. "I'm not sure what a coach is suppose to do..."
Rebounding=effort...period. As does defense in most instances. And motivating players? That's old school coaching. This team's erratic play and their overall record thru out the season so far is strictly on the players............. Least that's what some BB fans say. I'm just a hockey guy so I'll defer to the experts.
Shakopee plays zone all game and won't come out of it even in the OTs. Hopkins says fine we'll hold ball and run the clock down for the last shot in all 4 OTs but then decides enough is a 'nuf and hits a 60 foot raibow to win it as time runs out in the 4th OT. REALLY??? Cue the Hoffarber footage!
85-50 final BBE over PCS.
BBE pulled plug w 5 minutes to go. PCS played a much better 2nd half. Shot better and BBE not as hot but PCS had 23 TOs and got out rebound 2-1. BBE is extremely good. Their 6'4" PG...smooth. Finished w 33.
Good experience for the school and kids.
