Definitely worth the roster spot and the opportunity to compete here. My guess is his HS stats cleared the criteria for recruitment and his SDSU BIO page was lit (as they kids would say) when I checked. He'll be here for fall camp which is the true and only measuring stick in the evaluation process for the starting QB position. If you as a FCS program get a QB who is interested in dropping down and joining your program from a P5 conference you basically say....when can you get here. Those kids are 100% worth the roster spot to see if they can stick or not. No need to over think this. If he routinely throws a 25 yard out 18 yards you have your answer pretty quick.

The two best FCS QBs I saw play (multiple times) this season are leading their teams to Frisco.
